  • Publication number: 20240193555
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of waste collection, and particularly to techniques for requesting and controlling access to a waste collection point by using a mobile user device. The mobile user device is initially provided with a user ID that is granted permanent or temporary access rights to one or more hatches of one or more waste containers of the waste collection point. By using the user ID and a user input that comprises an indication of one or more of the waste containers to be accessed in the waste collection point at a given time instant, the mobile user device sends an access request to an access control system. In response to the access request, the access control system unlocks or opens the hatch(es) of the waste container(s) to be accessed, when the mobile user device is in the vicinity of the waste collection point. By so doing, it is possible to provide efficient access management for the waste collection point.

  • Publication number: 20240077603
Abstract: A method, a sensor and a system for observing the presence, location, movement and/or attitude of a person in a monitored area. The sensor comprises means for processing the measurement signal of the sensor, such as measuring electronics, and means for communicating measurement results and/or data relating to the measurement results for further processing. The sensor is a radar-based sensor, such as an as a frequency-modulated continuous-wave MIMO radar-based sensor, configured to detect persons in the monitored area and to measure and detect the location, velocity and/or shape of the monitored person. The sensor comprises means for detecting the orientation of the sensor, such as an acceleration sensor, and the sensor is configured to take the detected orientation of the sensor into account when determining measurement results for the monitored person, e.g. by compensating the measurement results based on the detected orientation.

Abstract: A method, a sensor and a system for the sensor includes a device for processing the measurement signal of the sensor, such as measuring electronics, and a device for communicating measurement results and/or data relating to the measurement results for further processing. The sensor is a radar-based sensor, such as a frequency-modulated continuous-wave MIMO radar-based sensor, configured to detect persons in the monitored area and to measure and detect movement, such as breathing frequency, location, velocity and/or shape of the monitored person. The sensor or a monitoring system connected to the sensor is configured to determine at least one of the following states of the person: breaks or interruptions with breathing of the monitored person, e.g. in order to recognize sleep apnea, and/or immobility of the monitored person, e.g. in order to avoid bedsores or pressure ulcers, and the sensor and/or the monitoring system is configured to provide an alarm based on the determined state of the person.

  • Publication number: 20200118410
Abstract: A Method and system for observing the presence, location, movement and/or attitude of one or more objects to be monitored in an area to be monitored includes at least one sensor. The sensor or sensors are fitted into some part, such as e.g. on a floor, wall and/or ceiling, of the area to be monitored. The sensor is a sensor detecting movement and/or presence, which sensor is adapted to measure in two measuring ranges that are at a different height, of which the first measuring range is an upper measuring range and the second measuring range is a lower measuring range. The system is adapted to interpret a person as having fallen if an object is not detected in the upper measuring range and an object is detected in the lower measuring range. The system is adapted to send a notification of a fall if a person is interpreted as having fallen and the predetermined criteria attached to sending a notification of a fall are met.

  • Patent number: 8442800
Abstract: The system according to the invention interprets sensor observations by tracking objects and by collecting information about the objects by means of the tracking and by using this information for affirming events linked to the objects and in producing information describing the events. The system detects events according the conditions defined for them, on the basis of sensor observations. The conditions can relate to the essence of the objects, e.g. to the strength of the observations linked to the object, to the size and/or shape of the object, to a temporal change of essence and to movement. The event conditions used by the system can comprise conditions applying to the location of the object. The system according to the invention can be used e.g.

  • Patent number: 8307202
Abstract: The invention relates to method and system for using PKCS and especially PKCS#10 registration standard on a mobile environment and in particularly in a WPKI (Wireless PKI) environment comprising a registration server and a client provided with a key pair is provided only with a part of the certificate request info defined on the PKCS registration standard. A PKCS registration structure is formed by the client of said part of the certificate request info and the public key to be registered, after which a verifying code is determined using at least part of said formed PKCS registration structure. Finally said verifying code and the public key are delivered to the registration server advantageously without delivering said part of the certificate request info received at first by the client.
