The novel dolly includes a chassis, which has an upper side with a load carrying surface, and an opposing underside. The dolly also includes a tow bar, which is arranged slidably to the underside of the chassis via a pivoting mechanism, which is configured to pivot the tow bar about a horizontal axis. The chassis of the dolly includes a corresponding hitch, which allows pivoting action about a vertical axis between the tow bar and the hitch.
