  • Publication number: 20080176565
Abstract: A method, computer program product and a wireless network node operate to determine a content of a multi-radio access technology priority list that includes n entries (n>1) prioritized from a highest priority radio access technology to a lowest priority radio access technology, where an entry for the highest priority radio technology includes a measurement delay timer value, and to send the determined multi-radio access technology priority list to a user equipment. The user equipment stores the multi-radio access technology priority list and sends measurement results to the wireless communications network for one of the n entries that is associated with a currently camped-on radio access technology and for one of the n entries that is associated with an active neighbor radio access technology.

  • Patent number: 7403606
Abstract: The present invention discloses a general protocol for a service control point (SCP) in a network system. The network system comprises at least one first type network element (SCP) and at least one second type network element (SSP) for transmitting messages to the first type network elements (SCP), respectively using a specific protocol. The first type network elements (SCP) are able to process the received protocol-specific messages and to transmit messages to said second type network elements by using service logic programs (SLP). In addition, the system comprises a definition means (1) for defining protocol definitions related to one message into a general protocol definition for the message, and for providing general protocol definitions for all possible transmitted messages for each of the first type network elements (SCP).

  • Patent number: 6574241
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for monitoring data messages in a network element in a telecommunications network, particularly in the SCP network element of an intelligent network. In the network element, the messages are forwarded through a protocol stack. The messages of the various protocol levels are processed by useful program blocks (MDP, FMP, SLP) and the messages of the selected protocol level are monitored to verify their validity. To make it possible to monitor messages in a simpler and more reliable manner, a separate monitoring block (MPP) is created in the network element for monitoring purposes and a copy of the message of the selected protocol level is sent to the said monitoring program to effect monitoring.
