    Abstract: A filter apparatus for filtering out impurities from a fluid material, which comprises a body of revolution (1) rotatable by a drive means (7, 8), at least one filter element (32, 42) being arranged in said body of revolution, said apparatus additionally comprising a cleaning arrangement for cleaning the filter. In the apparatus, the body of revolution is provided with at least one filter channel system (3, 4), which comprises an inlet passage (31, 41)and an outlet passage (33, 43), which in one position of the body of revolution are respectively connectable to an inlet passage and an outlet passage for the material to be purified, and a filter unit (32, 42) between these, and the body of revolution can be turned into a second position, where the filter channel system is connectable to a second fluid flow passage (6), which comprises inlet and outlet channels and through which the filter channel system can be cleaned.

    Abstract: A regulation valve and a method for changing the characteristic flow curve and/or the maximum capacity of a regulation valve. The valve consists of a housing provided with a flow duct, a closing member, which is fitted inside the housing in the flow duct and shaped as a body of rotation or as a part of a body of rotation, and a turning shaft which extends from the closing member to outside the housing to facilitate relating the closing member. The shape of the forward edge of the closing face of the closing member differs from the shape of the rearward edge. The characteristic flow curve of the valve is affected by the shape of the edge of the closing face of the closing member at whose side the flow opening starts being formed when the valve is rotated from the closed position to the opened position. To change the characteristic flow and/or the maximum capacity, one of the two directions of rotation is chosen to be the direction of opening of the valve.

    Abstract: A method for attenuating a medium flow passing through a valve provided with a flow passage. Into the valve, a substantially ball-like or ball-segment shaped or conical or cylindrical plug-like closure member has been fitted turnably. The attenuating of the flow has been arranged as taking place in both flow directions mainly in the passage in the closure member or in a bore passing through the closure member. The attenuating effect is increased as the valve is being closed and the attenuating effect is correspondingly reduced as the closure member is being turned towards the open position. In the passage in the closure member or in the bore passing through the closure member, the length of the path of flow of the pressure medium is increased and the direction of the flow of the pressure medium is alternated.
