Abstract: The invention relates to a wood-metal composite structure comprising a wood material and a metal material, and the wood material and the metal material (2) are joined together by a coupling agent. In accordance with the invention the wood-metal composite structure (5) comprises a coupling material (1,2,3,4) containing metal material (2), and the coupling material comprises at least three layers, and at least outer layers (1,3) of the coupling material contain polymer and coupling agent which is reactive with —OH groups of the materials for forming self-adhesive properties and at least one layer (2) including metal material is arranged between outer layers (1,3).
