The plasma deforming portion includes an inlet end having a circular hole, an outlet end having an elongated hole with a first length and a first width, and a channel smoothly connected with the circular hole and the elongated hole. The heating portion, disposed at the outlet end, includes two control covers spaced by a slot. The elongated hole and the slot being oppositely disposed with respect to the plasma deforming portion. A plasma flow provided by a plasma producing source being to enter the channel via the circular hole, then to flow through the elongated hole, and finally to reach the slot.

Abstract: A disk drive includes a chassis and first and second disk-positioning members mounted respectively on two opposite sides of the chassis. The first and second disk-positioning members have two straight inner portions extending perpendicularly and respectively from the opposite sides of the chassis to define a first distance therebetween, and two outer portions extending inclinedly and respectively from the inner straight portions in such a manner to define a second distance therebetween. The second distance is longer than the first distance. When an optical disk is moved to a reading and/or writing position from a temporary position, the inclined outer portions of the first and second disk-positioning members are spaced apart from the disk to permit smooth rotation thereof.

Abstract: An optical disc drive comprising at least a housing, an optical disc cassette, a cassette ejector and a fixing element is provided. The housing has an ejection opening. The cassette ejector and the fixing element are disposed in the housing. The optical disc cassette is disposed inside the housing for holding a plurality of optical discs. The housing has an open fixing groove. The fixing element lodges on the open fixing groove when the optical disc cassette is pushed into the housing. When the optical disc cassette is manually ejected, a manual ejection element that passes through the ejection opening is used to change the relative position between the fixing element and the open fixing groove. Consequently, the optical disc cassette can be ejected from the housing by the cassette ejector.

The elastic element is disposed inside the housing. When the optical disc cassette is stationed inside the housing, a distance is kept between the elastic element and the hollow. The elastic element is disposed on an ejection path of the hollow. The elastic element is suitable for lodging inside the hollow of the optical disc cassette when the optical disc cassette is ejected from the housing.

Abstract: An optical disc reading apparatus includes a main body, a first disc entrance and a second disc entrance. The main body has a disc-reading room therein for accommodating the optical disc. The first disc entrance is arranged on a first face of the main body for providing the optical disc with a first approach to the disc-reading room. The second disc entrance is arranged on a second face of the main body different from the first face for providing the optical disc with a second approach to the disc-reading room.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a disc detecting method in a multi-disc optical storage apparatus, which comprises receiving an electronic signal and determining whether to perform a complete disc detecting process or not when the multi-disc optical storage apparatus is turned on or a multi-disc magazine is inserted into the multi-disc optical storage apparatus. If the multi-disc optical storage apparatus decides not to perform the complete disc detecting process, the multi-disc optical storage apparatus can enter to be standby to wait for further commands from users. If the multi-disc optical storage apparatus decides to perform the complete disc detecting process, the detecting result will be then stored in a memory for providing a reference to the subsequent accessing.

Abstract: The invention discloses a disc playing sorting system and method. The disc playing sorting system comprises a capacity space, an optical component, and a processor. A plurality of discs are set into the capacity space. The optical component is drived by a trigger signal generated by a start key in order to read the label information of the plurality of discs. A disc playing order list is outputted by a sorting module of the processor based on label information. The disc playing order list is to be a basis for playing the discs in order. Through this disc playing sorting system and the method, user can avoid the complicated processes for setting the plurality of discs into the capacity space in order.

The receptacle has a plurality of disk-holding trays for supporting a plurality of disks respectively thereon. Abstract: A method and device for setting the sequence of playing disks of an optical disk drive includes an input unit for resetting the sequence of playing disks and the input unit is connected to a CPU. When the sequence of loading of disk is wrong, the user may input a resetting signal via the input unit so as to move the pickup head to the last layer of disk of the magazine and to reset to the reverse playing sequence. By this way, the user plays the disks by the correct sequence without reloading the disks one by one.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a multiple-disk optical disk drive that has a case, and a disk magazine and a disc reproducing module in the case, and the disk reproducing module includes a vertical transmission mechanism, a disk ejecting mechanism, and a pickup head. The disc reproducing module can move vertically up and down with respect to the disk magazine to eject a disk tray in the disk magazine. The disk magazine inserts into the case from the short side of the case. According to the present invention, it can effectively reduce the operating panel, enhance the convenience of use and the artistic look and sophistication of the product, lower the cost, and quickly and easily produce the optical disk drive in mass quantity.
