    Abstract: A method and device for removing an electromagnetic core, the method including: using an electromagnet to magnetize or demagnetize a metallic upper nozzle when a magneto-conductive workpiece is cut off in a WEDM manner; attracting a core capable of being completely cut off and separated in the workpiece; utilizing the metallic upper nozzle to detect whether attracted; if the core is attracted, moving the core to a target area; demagnetizing and dropping the core in a trash area. The device is applied to a WEDM machine; after the metallic magneto-conductive upper nozzle is magnetized by the electromagnet, the upper nozzle is used to attract the magneto-conductive core; a metallic water spray cover is utilized to detect whether the core is attracted; the core is moved to the target area by a motion system of the WEDM machine, and dropped in a trash device after the upper nozzle is demagnetized.

    Abstract: A cooling system for working fluid of machine tool is assembled with a temperature sensing and controlling device for controlling the operation modes of a cooling host thereof. The cooling host is a commercial available cooling host. The cooling host delivers refrigerants to a heat exchanger via a refrigerant circulation pipeline so at to cool down the working fluid, and the cooling host can be freely replaced by any commercial available cooling host based on the damage condition thereof. Based on this, the cooling system according to the present invention is capable of being assembled to various machine tools and capable of using various commercial available cooling hosts for the operation of the system.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for vertically calibrating a wire of a wire cutting electric discharge machine are provided. The vertical calibration apparatus includes a body, an upper calibration board and a lower calibration board attached to the body and parallel to a machine table, with a circular hole formed through the upper calibration board and on the lower calibration board respectively. The two circular holes are coaxial and have different diameters. The method of wire vertical calibration includes searching for the circle centers of the two circular holes by contacting the circles several times with the wire in a prescribed manner, then passing the wire through the circle centers. The method and apparatus allow wire vertical calibration to be more easily and accurately performed.

    Abstract: A wire cutting discharging machining device and the method thereof are disclosed. The method includes the steps of feeding a wire to be machined to a plurality of guide blocks; detecting one end of the wire and positioning the end; driving the plurality of guide blocks and a parallel device which is connected to the plurality of guide blocks and is operated synchronously so as to vertically guide the wire to an upper guide; and feeding the wire continuously to a workpiece, and a lower guide to a drawing roller. When in the process of machining, if a wire is broken abruptly or a machining path is to be updated, then a wire end detecting device, a wire cutting means, a wire end clamping device and a wire pressing device are used to achieve the object of wire modification.

    Abstract: A method for solving the problem that the machining accuracy in a corner part or in a circular arc is reduced by the line flexure during the wire-cut electric discharge machining. In the method, the controller of the wire-cut electric discharge machine with a built-in function of measuring error of wire flexure, after the machining, a detection voltage of the machine detects the machined groove. If the wire electrode comes into contact with the workpiece, the short-circuit caused by the wire flexure in the corner part or in a circular arc is detected, and then the compensation value of the wire flexure is gradually changed to continue the groove detection until the wire electrode and the workpiece are not short-circuited and the groove detection stops. Then the wire flexure value in the corner part or in the circular arc is obtained to establish the machining parameter data of the machine to automatically compensate the wire flexure value in the following machining.

    Abstract: It is a main object of the present invention to improve the drawback of a conventional wire cut EDM which controls the pulse width of discharging current to supply discharge energy under the state of constant current slope. The discharging current slope control method and device of the wire cut electrical discharge machine of the present invention comprises an electrical discharge detecting circuit, a timing controller circuit, a normal discharge driver circuit, an arc discharge driver circuit, normal discharge switch elements and arc discharge switch elements. The slopes of the output triangle waveform currents shall be variable due to the different results of detecting by the electrical discharge detecting circuit, depending on normal discharge or arc discharge condition, to render the current slope of the arc discharge smaller than the current slope of the normal discharge, so as to achieve the effect of keeping a high machining speed without easily breaking of the wire electrode.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a servo control method and apparatus for use on discharging machines to control the discharging conditions on working piece. In conventional art, feedrate control is based on the average of the discharging voltage between the discharging electrode and the working piece, which takes the off-time period into account; and in the condition of a long off-time period, the average voltage will be lowered as to affect the stability of the discharging process. The servo control method and apparatus according to the present invention disregards the off-time period and takes only the ignition voltage and discharging voltage into account such that the stability of the discharging machine will not be affected. Furthermore, during discharging, the servo control method and apparatus is capable of detecting whether there is a short-circuit condition and adjusting the average voltage accordingly so as to quickly remove the discharging electrode from the working piece.
