  • Publication number: 20090154167
Abstract: A multipurpose light source has at least one tubular assembly including a bracket, a light source, a light guide and a reflector. The light source may be a light emitting diode array or the like, being formed on the bracket. The light guide is pellucid and has a proximal end, a distal end and an annular surface. The proximal end of the light guide is mounted concentrically on the bracket adjacent to the light source and guides light emitted form the light source to the distal end. The reflector is formed in the distal end of the light guide and has a reflective surface being disposed obliquely to the light source and reflecting the output light to the annular surface.

  • Publication number: 20090135611
Abstract: A multi-functional lantern includes a body, at least one light bar and a flashlight assembly. The body has a base, a shell and a handle. The shell is formed on the base and has a distal end, an outer surface and at least one bar mount. The at least one bar mount is defined longitudinally in the outer surface of the shell and has a mounting end. The handle is mounted on the distal end of the shell. The at least one light bar is respectively mounted pivotally in a corresponding bar mount of the shell and is a planar lighting module having multiple diode components and a proximal end mounted pivotally in the mounting end of a corresponding bar mount. The flashlight assembly is mounted on the body.

  • Publication number: 20060255352
Abstract: An LED light source model has a substrate, at least one bare LED chip, a preformed phosphor lamina with at least one inner opening, and an optical light collecting element. The substrate has a top face, a bottom face and at least one chip mounting area defined on the top face. The frame is mounted on the top face and the inner opening corresponds to the chip mounting area. The bare LED chip is mounted in the chip mounting area. The preformed phosphor lamina is mounted over the bare LED chip and mounted in the corresponding inner opening. The optical light collecting element is mounted on the top face to collect the light from each preformed phosphor lamina to increase the light intensity. Each preformed phosphor lamina is preformed to ensure that two opposite faces are flat, so the light intensity from all of the bare LED chips is even.

  • Patent number: 6946815
Abstract: A switch for a variable-speed induction motor includes conductive connecting pieces, a rotary member, and a driving unit. The connecting pieces are mounted in a housing, are adapted to be connected to the induction motor, and have distal contact parts that surround an axis of the housing. The distal contact parts of any two of the connecting pieces form either an angular or height difference therebetween with respect to the axis. The rotary member is rotatable about the axis inside the housing, and is formed with contacting regions that are arranged along the axis and that are in sliding contact with the distal contact parts. The driving unit is operable so as to drive rotation of the rotary member about the axis such that the connecting pieces are bridged selectively and electrically by the contacting regions of the rotary member for varying the speed of the induction motor.
