  • Patent number: 6998552
Abstract: A float-type liquid level switch includes a main body, a float, a magnetic reed switch, and a light emitting element; the float has a magnet joined thereto, and is displaceable along a length of the main body; the magnetic reed switch and the light emitting element are held in the main body; both the magnetic reed switch and the light emitting element are connected to a control circuit to form a circuit; when the float is moved to such a position by buoyancy of liquid in a container that the magnet is near to, and activates the magnetic reed switch, the light emitting element will be powered to produce light, which will travel out of the main body to indicate that liquid level reaches a certain point.

  • Patent number: 6681627
Abstract: A safety device for water dispenser includes a magnetic tube, and a float. The tube sticks up on bottom of a water container. A first, and a second magnet switches are disposed in the tube, and connected in series. The float is movably fitted around the tube, and has a magnet ring, which can, when moved close to the first switch, make the first switch become conductible if there is sufficient water in the container. A weighted magnet ring is movably fitted around the tube. The weighted ring is normally close to the second switch due to gravity to make the same become conductible. Therefore, heating device of the dispenser can be activated when there is sufficient water. When the container are made to fall over, the weighted ring moves away from the corresponding switch to leave the same not-conductible, preventing the heating device from being activated.

  • Publication number: 20030222358
Abstract: A floated mist generating humidifier includes a housing member, and a mist generating device. The mist generating device is disposed in a holding room of the housing, which has several through holes communicating with the holding room. The holding room has an upper opening. The mist generating device can generate, and send out, mist when coming into contact with water. The housing member is constructed such that the humidifier can float on water with the through holes being at least partially submerged under surface of the water; thus, the mist generating device is activated to send out mist through the tipper opening to the atmosphere when the humidifier floats on water.

  • Patent number: 6230561
Abstract: A float for a level sensor has a center through hole and a position limiting hole formed in an upper portion of the center through hole and having a larger diameter than the center through hole, and an annular hollow space opening downward. An inner annular groove is formed in a wall defined between the center through hole and the annular hollow space, and an outer annular groove is formed in an outer wall defining the annular hollow space for disposing a magnet ring, an inner gasket and an outer gasket for facilitating closing an annular cap on the two gaskets. An oval base with a magnet ring is fixed in the position limiting hole. Then this float may be combined with various types of level sensors without any extra processes or modifications.

  • Patent number: 5880423
Abstract: A water level sensor includes a magnetic tube and a float disposed on a vertical oval rod portion of the magnetic tube. A magnetic switch is contained in the magnetic tube and connected with a power cord. The float has a center hole for the vertical oval bar to extend therein, an inner annular wall extending down to define the center hole with an outer annular wall, and an open lower end closed with a cap. And a magnetic ring is fixed around the center hole on an upper surface of the float. When the float moves down to a preset lower level in water of a tank, the magnetic ring and the magnetic switch produce induction to turn off the power to prevent the tank from burning owing to no water therein.
