  • Patent number: 4643382
Abstract: In a television stand secured tiltably to a base stand and provided with a television fixedly put on it, the tilt of the movable member is stopped by the energized force to a movable device by the abutment to the cam surface formed at the movable member or the base stand.

  • Patent number: 4472161
Abstract: A first shaft is screwed with a second shaft. The first shaft is secured rotatively to a bearing through a spring and the second shaft is secured slidably to another bearing. A pushing force in a fixed direction is provided to the second shaft through the screwed portion by actuating a spring torque in a rotative direction to the first shaft, whereby a determined tension is given to a chain when a tensioner is slackened in use.

  • Patent number: 4466802
Abstract: A tension providing mechanism including two shafts, one having an external screw and the other having an internal screw, the shafts being connected by engaging the screwed portions with each other. One of the shafts is supported for axial translation without rotation, and the other shaft is supported for rotation and is restrained from axial sliding. The rotatable shaft includes a torsion spring for applying spring torque in a direction to cause the other shaft to extend in an axial direction against a member, such as a drive chain, in order to increase the tension thereof. A locking mechanism is provided for constraining movement of the rotatable shaft, the locking mechanism being in the form of a lever having one end removably engaged with a split groove provided in the end of the shaft, the other end of the locking mechanism being latched to a projection formed on the case in which the tension providing mechanism is housed.

  • Patent number: 4457497
Abstract: A balancer is installed between a fixed body and a lid attached to the fixed body pivotably through a horizontal revolution axis. This balancer is a spring balancer for a pivotable cover lid having a compression coil sring which acts in compression or extension and a rod which transfers into a metallic cylinder according to the revolution of the cover lid. Further, this balancer has the overall characteristics of the compression coil spring and the sliding friction characteristics of the rod.

  • Patent number: 4456437
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor for use in refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps or the like apparatus. The refrigerant pump has a casing which encases a combination of a compressor and an electric motor. A spring guide has an attaching base portion fixed to a bearing supporting a crank shaft driven by the motor, and an oil pipe connected to the attaching base such that the inside of the oil pipe opens to one end of the crank shaft. The oil pipe is bent so that the free end thereof is immersed in the lubricating oil in the case. The oil pipe receives a closely-coiled spring which is fixed at its one end to the end of the crank shaft while the other end is immersed in the lubricating oil. As the compressor operates, the coiled spring rotates in the oil pipe so that the lubricating oil is sucked by the lead of the coiled spring through the gap formed between the inner peripheral surface of the oil pipe and the coiled spring.

  • Patent number: 4425104
Abstract: A tension providing device is adapted to change a rotation force due to a spring torque of a shaft to a pushing force in the direction of an axial line of a piston. At one end of the above shaft, a split groove is formed, and at a position corresponds to an axial center of the shaft attached to a lid of a casing body which forms an outer shell of said device, a penetrated hole having an appropriate size and shape is provided. The rotation of the shaft is locked or unlocked by a stopper member latched with said split groove and said penetrated hole removably. Further, said locking mechanism is adapted to perform winding the spring and pulling back the piston into the device by the rotation of the shaft through the penetrated hole of said lid without removing the lid of the casing using an appropriate tool.

  • Patent number: 4423535
Abstract: A spring balancer having a compression coil spring and a friction ring. Properties of the spring and a friction force provided by the ring are designed to fit the moment of revolution of a lid that can be opened or closed upward and downward around a revolution or pivot axis. The balancer makes it possible to open or close the lid with a small force and allows stopping of the lid at any position in the whole process of the opening or the closing.

  • Patent number: 4371360
Abstract: A locking mechanism for use in a tension providing device. The tension providing device has a first shaft with a threaded end portion disposed within the interior of a cylindrical casing and a second end with a slit groove formed therein. A second shaft of the tension providing device has a threaded end engaged with the threaded end of the first shaft and an end protruding from the casing for providing tension. Rotation of the first shaft by a spring results in translation of the second shaft with respect to the casing. The locking mechanism includes a stopper pin removably secured in a lid of the casing at a position spaced from the axis of the first shaft. The pin is movable into engagement with the slit groove to lock the first shaft.
