    Abstract: An assembly is disclosed for mounting a strap to a sports instrument (2), the assembly comprising a mounting element (6) situated in the strap (1), a slot (5) situated in the sports instrument (2) for accommodating the mounting element (6) and fixing means for securing the mounting element (6) in the slot. The fixing means comprise a spring-loaded locking element (3) capable of reaching into the slot (5) and, cooperating with the same, a retaining element (7), whereby the locking element (3) is adapted to function in conjunction with the sports instrument (2) while the retaining element (7) is adapted to function in conjunction with the mounting element (6).
