  • Patent number: 7619571
Abstract: A radio antenna is designed for use on a circuit board having a slot. The antenna is shaped such that one radiator segment is located in the slot while the other segment is located outside the slot. As such, the total thickness of the circuit board and the disposed antenna can be reduced. The antenna can be a chip antenna having a support block for disposing the radiator segments on opposite sides of the support block. The support block can have steps so that one or more different radiator segments can be disposed on the step surfaces, and the circuit board has a plurality of electrically conductive strips separately connected to the radiator segments on the step surfaces to provide grounding and feed to the antenna.

  • Patent number: 7298338
Abstract: The invention relates to a device, comprising an at least partially plane antenna carrier with a first side and a second side, at least one first Printed Wiring Board (PWB) being attached to said first side of said antenna carrier and having a first radiation structure formed on it, and at least one second PWB being attached to said second side of said antenna carrier. Said second PWB structure preferably represents a parasitic antenna element that improves the radiation pattern of an antenna that at least partially is represented by said first radiation structure. The invention further relates to a GPS-capable mobile phone, a method, a computer program and a radio system.

  • Patent number: 5256919
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a circuit arrangement for preventing the oscillation of a radio frequency power module (IC1). According to the method of the invention a coupling element (Q7), preferably a bipolar transistor, which is made conductive when the input signal (IN) is removed, is installed between the input (IN) and the ground. The supply voltage (VS) in the power module can be permanently switched on.
