Abstract: A system to enable display of an augmented reality (AR) image on a user device is disclosed. The system may include an identifier apparatus removably attached to a consumable item. The identifier apparatus may include a unique identifier associated with the consumable item. The system may further include an AR unit. The AR unit may receive a command signal associated with the unique identifier from the user device when the user device performs a predefined action in proximity to the identifier apparatus. The AR unit may further store information associated with the consumable item. The AR unit may generate the AR image based on the information associated with the consumable item responsive to obtaining the command signal. The AR unit may further transmit the AR image to the user device.
