    Abstract: A detection device coupled to an item includes a sensor configured to detect user interaction with the item and transmit a signal related to the user interaction and the item. A processor of the detection device receives the signal and determines a type of the user interaction and information about the item based on the signal. The detection device is configured to transmit a signal indicating the type of the user interaction and the information about the item. A server is configured to receive the signal (e.g., from the detection device or a HUB) and determine a user interaction profile associated with the item. The user interaction profile can indicate data about one or more users' interaction with the item or data about the item. The server is also configured to output data indicating the user interaction profile via a graphical user interface or store the data.
