The styleswitcher captures viewing settings previously selected and saved by the user. By clicking on an available styleswitcher, the user causes the entire graphical user interface to refresh and display in viewing settings corresponding to the selected styleswitcher.

Abstract: A system and/or method are provided in which a user may generate a desktop widget in the form of an icon on the user's computer desktop, for example, for relatively immediate access to reports or documents generated by an enterprise computer software application in an enterprise services system. The icon or desktop widget provided may be associated with a link or command pathway to the specific report or file or may be dynamic in the sense that any modification within the report portal that affects the specific report may be reflected in the subsequent access to the specific report on a backend system, for example, by the user. A report or desired document, is thus readily provided to a user upon a click or selection of the icon or widget.

Abstract: An error reporting mechanism, displayed in a user interface, allows a user to proactively and efficiently communicate error reports to a system administrator. The error reporting mechanism, when selected by the user, causes the user interface to display a text input box for the user to enter descriptive information about the error encountered. The user creates an error report by choosing to send the descriptive information. The error report incorporates descriptions entered by the user as well as system information for the corresponding application stored by a central processor. The error report is sent to a system administrator console via a communication network.

Abstract: The present system provides a computer interface manager that allows the user to intelligently customize their personal interface with a computer application. The present invention provides an interface engine that enacts a plurality of algorithms that prompt and guide the user through the customization process. The interface management algorithms provide automatically generated pop-up menus and pull down menus that receive user inputs regarding the changes to be made to the interface. The user is therefore able to enhance their interface and therefore enhance their ability to process information using the computer application.

Abstract: A method and system to improve usability of a web application by providing a zoom function are disclosed. In one embodiment, zoom functionality in an exemplary form of a zoom tool may be provided to allow a user to freely select a desired area of the portal screen area. The user-selected area may be utilized to indicate the portion of the portal screen to be zoomed in. In another embodiment, certain areas of the portal screen area may be zoomed in.
