Abstract: An electrical cable contains a cable bundle formed by at least two single wires, each containing a conductor surrounded by insulation. An adhesive layer is applied to all single wires, surrounding the insulator in a ring-like manner, via which the single wires are adhered to one another. The cable bundle does not also contain a cable sheath surrounding the cable bundle. The adhesive layer is formed by a reactive coating that is cured after activation so that a thermally stable connection can be achieved. The cable bundle is formed by single wires that are twisted with one another, and which are used, as a data line. This structure, with the adhesive layer, removes the need for a cable sheath so that a more compact structure can be achieved. The form lay length of the cable bundle is fixed, having a positive effect on the transmission characteristics for a data line.
