  • Patent number: 10943496
Abstract: This invention is a computer-implemented system or method for creating and delivering content for kinesthetic learning comprising: lesson criteria; an action block; an instruction block; a first lesson block; a second lesson block having kinesthetic content; and a summary block. A real-time digital assessment form can be provided to the user for recording student performance in response to displaying the action block, instruction block, first lesson block, second lesson block and summary block to multiple students simultaneously. The filled real-time assessment form can be transmitted electronically to a parent, guardian or other caretaker of the student. A physical worksheet can be provided to the student having content consistent with the lesson criteria.

  • Publication number: 20140224063
Abstract: A magnetic change speed gearbox his described for use in a downhole assemblies having a higher speed shaft supported by a gas bearing. The downhole assembly may be one comprising a motor driving a compressor by way of a step-up magnetic gearbox or one comprising a gas turbine driving a pump by way of a step-down magnetic gearbox.

  • Publication number: 20120280090
Abstract: A connecting device between two cylindrical parts that are connected at a junction plane, more particularly suited for connecting an air intake and a power plant of an aircraft nacelle, includes—at the parts to be connected—a large number of through holes that are perpendicular to the junction plane and that empty out at the junction plane, arranged facing one another and connecting elements housed in the through holes, each including a rod with supports at each end that make it possible to keep the parts to be connected flattened. The through holes include—for each—at least one small cross-section that is adjusted to the rod of the connecting element close to the corresponding support and a cross-section with significant play at the junction plane so that the rod only undergoes very weak shear forces at the junction plane during the relative deformation of the assembled parts.

  • Publication number: 20070222160
Abstract: A gas seal assembly includes a pair of mutually rotatable sealing members, each of which has a front face adjacent a gap between the two members which constitutes a leakage path through the seal assembly. The two sealing member are urged, in use, in a direction to close the gap and a gas bleed arrangement is provided for allowing gas from a high pressure side of the seal to bleed into the gap so as to apply a force tending to separate the members. The gas bleed arrangement includes a bore extending between the front face and a rear face of one of the sealing members, a generally radial groove formed in the rear face of the sealing member and a plate overlying the rear face to cover the groove and thereby define between the rear face of the sealing member and the plate a bleed passage connecting the bore to the high pressure side of the seal.
