  • Patent number: 11951516
Abstract: A system to perform multi-stage cleaning of material from a space suit worn by an astronaut in a deep space environment includes one or more discharge units installed external to an interior volume of a facility in the deep space environment. Each of the one or more discharge units releases one or more substances. The one or more substances includes water or air and the interior volume of the facility is defined by an interior hatch that is separated from an exterior hatch leading to the deep space environment by an airlock. One or more collection units installed external to the interior volume. Each collection unit traps released material that is released from a space suit based on the multi-stage cleaning to prevent the released material from entering the interior volume.

  • Patent number: 11688508
Abstract: A biometric status sensing media therapy system for the therapeutic care of a Consumer. The system has a media therapy device provided with a central processing unit, audio and/or visual input/output and wireless communications. The media therapy device is provided in wireless communication with a cloud computing and data storage resource. A collection of media files, transmitted to the media therapy device from the cloud computing and data storage resource for play by the media therapy device, is played by the media therapy device according to a pre-configured collection of rules based upon a time schedule and/or a biometric status of the consumer.

  • Patent number: 10815080
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an automatic loading and unloading system that is adaptable for an array of freight sizes, trucks and/or trailers. In some examples, the automatic loading and unloading may inventory the parcels scheduled for delivery, identify the dimensions of the parcels, and plot a loading configuration that maximizes the use of the truck or trailer. Based on the plotting, the automatic loading and unloading system may direct the automated guided vehicles (e.g., automatic forklifts) to the parcels scheduled for delivery. The automated guided vehicles may utilize the information received from the automatic loading and unloading system to identify a route from the parcel's storage location in the warehouse, for example, to the plotted position in the truck or trailer.

  • Publication number: 20070045132
Abstract: There is provided a storage container or reservoir for paint or varnish brushes that facilitates both storage of the brushes and transport to the worksite that includes a suitable, preferably transparent or translucent container for the brush solvent having rods or dowels that are sealingly and slidably passed through opposing walls of a container at various heights above the bottom of the container so that various sized brushes can be suspended with their ferrules at substantially the same level and so that a single volume of solvent can effectively immerse the bristles of the various sized brushes. Each rod or dowel desirably suspends one or two brushes so that access to retrieve any brush from the container may be had by manually sliding the rod or dowel so that a free end of the rod or dowel is within the container whereupon the brush of choice can be slid off the rod or dowel and retrieved, after which the rod or dowel may be easily replaced though the opposing wall.

  • Publication number: 20050029715
Abstract: Solid, shaped and fired fibers of Ti4O7 and Ti5O9 are made by firing TiO2 fibers in a reducing atmosphere. In a first aspect, the TiO2 fibers are made by extruding into air a viscous TiO2 gel and heat treating the resulting green fibers to remove solvent, decompose and to volatilize undesired constituents to form electrically conductive, refractory fibers of Ti4O7 and Ti5O9. In a second aspect, solid, shaped and fired fibers of Ti4O7 and Ti5O9 are made by firing extruded fibers from mixtures of TiO2.

  • Patent number: 5811496
Abstract: This invention is directed to an improved process for producing a polyester oligomer. The process employs a pipeline reactor, having at least two stages, in which the degree of polymerization of an oligomeric feed material is raised from about 2-10 to about 2-40 and the ratio of carboxyl to hydroxyl end groups in the product is reduced. In a first stage of the process, a monomeric diol or polyol, such as ethylene glycol, is added to a melt of the oligomeric feed material. In a second stage of the process, the molecular weight of the oligomer is increased by removal of volatile reaction by-products, including water and polyol. The oligomer produced by the present invention may be used in making higher molecular weight polyesters.
