The force can be applied to a second sample, the second sample comprising a flooring material positioned beneath the portion of the footwear article in a stacked arrangement. The one or more sensors can generate at least one second output in response to application of the force to the second sample. Based on the at least one first output and said at least one second output, at least one value comparing the at least one first output to the at least one second output.
