  • Patent number: 7356759
Abstract: A system, method, and related computer program for automatically cataloging Web elements, such as text and color, in a Web document for use by those performing searches for Web documents containing specific Web elements. The present invention allows users to scan Web elements into a Web site database where they are automatically cataloged for future searches of the particular element data. Searchers can search for a source document containing a particular color and/or text. Users may enter values related to scanned-in Web elements on source documents, such as an alternate color that may be used in addition to or instead of the scanned in color on said source document. Web elements or graphics are cataloged in a manner that allows users to query an entire set of objects quickly by accessing the database values. A user is able to automatically change text or color values on a global basis. Alternate values entered into the Web site database override Web element data previously scanned into the database.

  • Publication number: 20030046144
Abstract: A system and method for anonymous message forwarding architecture is presented. A voter sends a vote selection to a mail forwarding server that removes the identity of the voter. The mail forwarding server has administrative options given to it by the receiving server. Administrative options include the ability to manage who is authorized to vote, how often an individual is allowed to vote, and confirmation of accepting a vote from an authorized user, or confirmation of rejecting a vote from an unauthorized user. The mail forwarding server sends the anonymous vote selection to the receiving server for vote calculation. The mail forwarding server also has the ability to perform vote selection calculation and may send a single, compiled file to the receiving server.

  • Publication number: 20030044050
Abstract: A system and method for biometric identification and response is presented. Raw biometric data is received by a biometric acquisition system. The biometric acquisition system generates a digital signature based on the raw biometric data. The digital signature is compared to a biometric action data list to find a match. If a match is found, a message is sent to one or more recipients based on who the identified person is. The message can be customized and include a current photo of the identified person and the location as to where the identified person is spotted. The message may be encrypted and also include a digital signature of the sender in order for the recipient to verify the sender of the message.
