  • Patent number: 12410012
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for package sorting systems that facilitate efficient package sorting for delivery. The package sorting system may be a multi-level or single-level fulfillment or sortation center. The package sorting system may include a receiving area for receiving a large volume of packages and placing the packages into containers. The containers may be transported to an unloading area, which may be on a second story. At the unloading area, the packages may be unloaded from containers and placed into destination bins, each package in a destination bin destined for delivery within close proximity to one another. The destination container may be transported to a delivery area. At the delivery area the packages may be loaded into delivery vehicles for distributing the packages. The package sorting system may include drive units and package drive units for transporting containers and/or packages.

  • Patent number: 12042824
Abstract: An automated, single level, package sortation system may include a conveyance mechanism, a package induct station with a first robotic arm, a first drive unit, a cart building station with a second robotic arm, a cart, and a cart transfer station. Each package and cart of the system may have an associated destination. A package may be transferred by a first robotic arm from a conveyance mechanism to a first drive unit, and then transferred by a second robotic arm from a first drive unit to a cart associated with the same destination as the package. Then, the cart may be transferred via a cart transfer station to the destination associated with the cart and all packages contained therein.

  • Publication number: 20090007759
Abstract: A twirling prop devoid of a gun barrel and for use by a marching band or the like is provided. The twirling prop includes a body having a top surface, a bottom surface, a base, a distal end, and a midline. The top surface, bottom surface, and base are non-colinear and are constructed such that at least a portion of each can be gripped. Openings extending laterally through the body of the twirling prop can be present and can, in certain instances, provide a means for gripping the twirling prop. Such openings can be positioned anywhere along the length of the body between the top surface and the bottom surface and can be of any size and shape desired.

  • Publication number: 20070003537
Abstract: This invention relates to altered forms of members of the RNase A superfamily. An RNase A can be modified to be cytotoxic by altering its amino acid sequence so that it is not bound easily by the ribonuclease inhibitor while still retaining catalytic properties. While earlier work had identified some modifications to RNase A that would result in cytotoxicity, the use of the FADE algorithm for molecular interaction analysis has led to several other locations that were candidates for modification. Some of those modifications did result in RNase A variants with increase cytotoxicity.
