  • Publication number: 20220117643
Abstract: Implementations described herein include a hone cement mixing and delivery device including a cylindrical container defines a chamber and has an injection passage disposed at the distal end thereof. A plug can be removably disposable in the injection passage. The mixing screw is rotatably disposable in the chamber and has a screw thread extending along an outer surface of the mixing screw as well as a return passage extending through the mixing screw from the proximal end to the distal end thereof. In a mixing mode of the device, a mixing rod engages and rotates the mixing screw about the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical container causing material disposed in the chamber to be moved distally and return to the proximal end of the chamber through the return passage of the mixing screw. In an injection mode of the device, the plug can be removed from the injection passage and an injection rod occludes the return passage of the mixing screw.

  • Patent number: 11304822
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for assisting in the placement of a trapeziometacarpal prosthesis including a cup to be fixed in the trapezium of a patient and a stem to be fixed in the patient's first metacarpal. The device includes a first guide to be interposed between the trapezium and the first metacarpal, the first guide including a first body having a first surface to be positioned on the articular surface of the trapezium, the first surface congruent with the articular surface of the trapezium and a second surface to face the articular surface of the first metacarpal before resection, the second surface preferably being congruent with the articular surface of the first metacarpal so as to be positionable on the articular surface of the first metacarpal. The first guide also includes locating members carried by the first body and arranged to define resection lines for the first metacarpal.

  • Publication number: 20210322001
Abstract: A bone anchoring device includes first and second arms defining a first slot of depth p extending along an axis. The first and second arms respectively bear a first and a second branch extending outside the first slot. The first branch defining second and third slots. In the rest position: the orthogonal projection on the axis of the bottom of each of the second and third slots is in the first slot distanced from the bottom of this slot of at least 10% of p; and the distances d1 separating the second slot bottom from the part of the end of the branch defining it which is the furthest away from it, and d2 separating the third slot bottom from the part of the end of the branch defining it which is the furthest away from it, so each of d1/p and d2/p>0.3.

  • Patent number: 10905485
Abstract: An apparatus for mixing bone cement can comprise a receiving chamber, a mixing chamber, a cannula, a base, and a piston located within the mixing chamber. The receiving chamber defining a conduit. The mixing chamber in fluid communication with the receiving chamber. The mixing chamber configured to house a first component of the bone cement. The cannula located in the receiving chamber and in fluid communication with the conduit. The base including a bladder arranged to be punctured by the cannula, the bladder configured to house a second component of the bone cement. Upon puncturing of the bladder by the cannula the second component of the bone cement passes through the conduit and the cannula into the mixing chamber. The piston configured to seal the mixing chamber upon movement of the piston from a first position relative to the conduit to a second position relative to the conduit.
