  • Patent number: 9420618
Abstract: A communication method is provided, which is implemented by a base station of an access network in order to allocate spectrum resources among terminals identified by the station, the station having already allocated all of its spectrum resources to identified terminals having communication set up via the base station. These terminals determine a group of terminals. The method includes: verifying admissibility of a pair of terminals that are candidates for direct communication by determining a set of served terminals that are candidates for sharing their respective spectrum resources with the pair under the sole constraint of the candidate terminal and the pair satisfying their respective QoS criteria.

  • Patent number: 9154203
Abstract: A multi-stream transmission method and device are provided for transmitting N data streams allocated to K different users. The method is implemented by a transmitter for a multi-user MIMO system having NT transmit antennas and ? k = 1 K ? ? N R k receive antennas associated with K receivers respectively associated with the K users. The method includes: performing a succession of two different iterative algorithms for calculating K precoding matrices of a linear precoder and K decoding matrices of a receiver, the receiver being of the normalized MF type with a Frobenius norm for the first algorithm, and the second iterative algorithm being initialized by a value output by the first iterative algorithm; and before each calculation of precoding matrices, calculating weights for weighting all of the streams.

  • Patent number: 8989119
Abstract: A method and apparatus for simultaneously transmitting K data streams allocated respectively to K different users. The method is implemented by a transmitter for a multi-user MIMO system having NT transmit antennas and N R = ? k = 1 K ? N R k receive antennas associated with K receivers, each associated with a respective user. The method includes, per data stream, at least: jointly calculating a linear pre-coder and a receiver adapted for a multi-user MIMO system using two different iterative algorithms in succession, wherein the second iterative algorithm is initialized with the output value from the first iterative algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20040156453
Abstract: A receiver with turbo-estimation of the data transmission channel, the receiver comprising at least a channel estimator (10) and a symbol detector (20) together with a feedback loop (50) to the channel estimator (10) for returning the transmission data as estimated by the symbol detector (20) at a preceding iteration, the receiver being characterized in that the channel estimator (10) and the symbol detector (20) are designed to implement a series of operations, each resulting in an estimate being provided of at least one distinct transmitted data item, the channel estimator (10) being designed to eliminate from a group of received data items a fraction thereof which is dependent on the transmitted data item to be estimated, and on the basis of said received data from which dependency has been eliminated, to provide a determination of the propagation channel from which dependency has also been eliminated, the symbol detector (20) continuing the operation by estimating the transmitted data on the basis of said

  • Patent number: 6717996
Abstract: Definition takes place of a sliding window of width Ne times the sampling period (Te); for each sliding window calculation takes place of the sum of the elementary powers of the correlation samples located in said window; determination takes place of the window for which the sum of the powers is at a maximum, the synchronization then being defined by the position of the synchronized window on the window having the maximum power sum and by the rank of each correlation sample within said window.

  • Patent number: 5960045
Abstract: A method of digital differential demodulation if which the signal to be demodulated is over sampled at a rate double the rate of the elements of the spread sequence, the products of a current sample and the preceding conjugated sample are calculated and these products are summed, possibly weighting them, in a window covering at least a part of the period of the information symbols, the real part of this sum is taken in order to obtain a decision sample used to reconstruct the information. The method is applicable to multiple access type transmissions with code division.
