    Abstract: The invention provides methods for preparing pharmaceutical formulations for injection such that upon injection the formulation does not cause erythrocyte agglutination, hemolysis, and/or cell shrinkage. To prevent agglutination, a pharmaceutical formulation ready for injection needs to have a sufficient ionic strength.
