  • Publication number: 20110275740
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing submicronic particles of a thermoplastic polymer encapsulating nanoparticles, said submicronic particles being obtained by nanoprecipitation. The invention also relates to submicronic particles of a polymer encapsulating nanoparticles obtained by said method, and to the use of submicronic particles for making materials reinforced by nanoparticles.

  • Patent number: 4922825
Abstract: The technical sector of the invention is that of explosive charges with a re-forming coating. This explosive charge is characterized by the fact that the coating includes two superimposed and contiguous plates. The plate in contact with the air has a lower density than that of the plate in contact with the explosive matter, and its compressibility is less than or equal to 50% under a pressure of 50 Gigapascals.

  • Patent number: 4594947
Abstract: Process and apparatus for shaping a detonation wave.In a conventional manner, a priming explosive mass is separated from a charging explosive mass by a shield. According to the invention, use is made of a porous material for forming the shield and it is given a shape such that, in the charging explosive, the detonation wave from the priming explosive is always in front of the shock wave from the shield.Application to the piercing of thick metal sheets.
