  • Publication number: 20220233287
Abstract: Method for allowing patient review of virtual restoration element in video of dentition. At least one restoration element for at least one selected tooth of patient dentition is designed using 3D dentition models based on CAD/CAM techniques. Then, real-time video of the patient's dentition including the at least one selected tooth is displayed, where the video orientation is controlled by the patient. Then, the displayed real-time video of the dentition is modified in real-time including the at least one selected tooth to show the at least one restoration element registered to physical teeth in the real-time video of dentition to replace the at least one selected tooth in the modified displayed real-time video of the dentition.

  • Patent number: 9820835
Abstract: A method for generating a mapping of dental occlusion generates a three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth according to acquired image data. The maxillary and mandibular arches are positioned in opposition in the generated model of the patient's teeth and a meal model generated having characteristics of a foam material. A pressure field distribution for the generated meal model is calculated for one or more pairs of opposed teeth from the generated three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth. The calculated pressure field distribution can be displayed.

  • Patent number: 9549788
Abstract: A method for generating a mapping of dental occlusion generates a three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth (1a, 1b) according to acquired image data. The maxillary and mandibular arches are positioned in opposition in the generated model of the patient's teeth and a meal model (50) generated having characteristics of a foam material. A pressure field distribution for the generated meal model is calculated for one or more pairs of opposed teeth (1a, 1b) from the generated three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth. The calculated pressure field distribution (54) can be displayed.

  • Patent number: 9123147
Abstract: A method for displaying teeth of a patient, generates a three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth and displays the generated three-dimensional model. A displayed image shows a cross-sectional view of the teeth according to the position of a cutting plane extending through the three-dimensional model. The relative position of the cutting plane is adjustable according to an operator instruction. The orientation of the displayed cross-sectional view is determined by the position of the cutting plane.

  • Patent number: 8400635
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring dental shade comprising: —illumination means (24, 40, 42, 44, 48, 50), for successively illuminating at least one part of a tooth (D) with light of various spectral ranges, —at least one sensor (26) sensitive to light coming from said tooth part, in response to the illumination, to generate for each different color of illumination, at least one measurement signal, —means (30, 32) for converting the measurement signals corresponding to said tooth part, into the coordinates of a measurement point (202), in a shade space in which “reference” points (320, 410, 540) are also defined, corresponding to the preset shades of a dental shade guide, and—search means (114), for the tooth part, for a shade corresponding to the reference point closest to the measurement point, in the shade space.
