  • Publication number: 20220392583
Abstract: The system (200) for training an ensemble neural network device configured to execute the steps of: providing (205) a set of exemplar data, comprising at least one set of inputs (220) and at least one set of outputs (225) associated to the set of inputs, to a neural network device comprising an ensemble (230) of neural network devices, configured to provide independent predictions based upon the exemplar data, operating (210) the neural network device based upon the set of exemplar data, obtaining (215) the trained neural network device configured to provide an output, the neural network device further comprising at least two independent activation functions, whereof at least two of the independent activation functions are representative of the statistical distribution of the plurality of independent predictions, the neural network device being configured to provide at least one output (235, 236) for at least two said independent activation functions and the step of operating further comprising a step of o

  • Patent number: 10321488
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for a communication device to transmit a data packet in a wireless communication system. The method comprises: determining a first set of transmission parameters comprising a first central transmission frequency and a first spectral bandwidth; transmitting a first data packet by applying the first set of transmission parameters; determining whether or not the first data packet collided with a second data packet from a second communication device; determining a second set of transmission parameters, which in case of collision comprises a second central transmission frequency, different from the first central transmission frequency, and a second spectral bandwidth, which is different from the first spectral bandwidth with a first, non-zero probability and the same as the first spectral bandwidth with a second probability; and transmitting a second data packet by applying the second set of transmission parameters.

  • Patent number: 9844056
Abstract: Method of spectrum allocation in a wireless network, comprising the steps, performed by a first access point connected to said wireless network and operating at a first spectrum configuration, chosen from a finite set of spectrum configurations, each spectrum configuration in the set comprising a channel center frequency, a channel width and a transmit power, of: a) estimation of a performance indicator of at least one first link connecting the first access point and at least one first client of said first access point, for at least one spectrum configuration among said finite set of spectrum configurations; and b) switching the operation of the first access point to a new spectrum configuration identified among said finite set of spectrum configurations on the basis of a utility parameter determined at least on the basis of the estimated performance indicator.

  • Publication number: 20170347377
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for a communication device to transmit a data packet in a wireless communication system. The method comprises: determining (21) a first set of transmission parameters comprising a first central transmission frequency and a first spectral bandwidth; transmitting (33) a first data packet by applying the first set of transmission parameters; determining (35) whether or not the first data packet collided with a second data packet from a second communication device; determining (37) a second set of transmission parameters, which in case of collision comprises a second central transmission frequency, different from the first central transmission frequency, and a second spectral bandwidth, which is different from the first spectral bandwidth with a first, non-zero probability and the same as the first spectral bandwidth with a second probability; and transmitting (33) a second data packet by applying the second set of transmission parameters.

  • Patent number: 9549328
Abstract: A method to optimize the communication on a channel between an access point and at least one client device, said channel being characterized by a center frequency and a bandwidth, comprises: establishing a connection on a first channel according to a first center frequency and a first bandwidth; exchanging data through this first channel between the access point and the client device; monitoring a first interference level on the first channel; the access point, while the data are exchanged, executes: informing the client device to switch to a second channel having a different center frequency and/or a different bandwidth; determining a second interference level on the second channel; comparing the first interference level with the second interference level; deciding to switch back or keep the second channel based on the comparison.
