  • Patent number: 11867358
Abstract: A tank suitable for storing a product at a cryogenic temperature, including a fluid tight interior barrier, a fluid tight exterior barrier, surrounding the first interior barrier, an intermediary volume interposed between the interior and exterior barriers and at least one insulating layer positioned in the intermediary volume and including at least one thermal insulation mat, with very low thermal conductivity. The intermediary volume contains microspheres outside of the thermal insulation mats and has an enhanced level of vacuum. This solution makes it possible to maintain satisfactory performance in terms of thermal insulation even in the event of a loss of vacuum in the intermediary volume.

  • Publication number: 20230415909
Abstract: A tank system comprising a tank, a drainage line fixed in the bottom part of the tank and having a drainage port at each end and, for each drainage port, a funnel having a wall through which at least one window passes, a body that can move in translation, for each funnel, a plug that is secured to the body and arranged to be able to move inside said funnel between an open position and a closed position, and an arm, a first end of which is mounted in an articulated manner to the top part of the tank and a second end of which is mounted in an articulated manner on the body.

  • Publication number: 20230235842
Abstract: A device for connection of double-wall pipes including an interior connection system connecting the first and second interior pipes and an exterior connection system including a first part that cooperates with an end section of the first exterior pipe and a second part that cooperates with an end section of the second exterior pipe. The exterior connection system is configured so that at a first temperature at least one of the first and second parts exerts a contact force on the end section of the corresponding first or second exterior pipe greater than at a second temperature higher than the first temperature in order to reinforce the seal, especially in the event of a hydrogen leak when hydrogen is present in the first and second interior pipes.

  • Patent number: 11703071
Abstract: An assembly-ready joint for an aircraft assembly is disclosed. The joint includes a first joint part having a spigot. The joint also has a second joint part with a housing. A floating socket is in an interior of the housing. The second joint part receives the spigot in the floating socket. The joint is arranged to receive a curable medium, such as curable resin, in the interior to contract between the housing and the floating socket.

  • Publication number: 20230077740
Abstract: An aircraft comprising a fuselage, first and second wings positioned on either side of the fuselage, wherein each wing includes an inner part connected to the fuselage and an outer part continuing the inner part, the end of each inner part connected to the fuselage having a height greater than half the height of the fuselage and extending over a length greater than or equal to half of a distance separating the nose and the tail of the fuselage.

  • Publication number: 20220371743
Abstract: A tank system for an aircraft, including a tank including an inner enclosure including a closed inner skin configured to store dihydrogen and an outer enclosure including an outer skin that surrounds the inner enclosure, a chassis including a front frame at a front end of the tank, and an attachment arrangement which attaches the outer skin of the outer enclosure to the front frame. A system of this kind makes it possible to react forces through the outer skin, thus reducing a complexity of the chassis.

  • Patent number: 10871232
Abstract: An aircraft assembly including: first and second external skin panels having opposing edge faces separated by a gap, the gap having a width in a first direction extending between the opposing edge faces and a depth in a second direction generally orthogonal to the first direction; and a gap seal arranged in the gap to at least partially fill the gap, wherein the gap seal is formed of a material configured such that compression of the gap seal in the first direction results in substantially no expansion of the gap seal in the second direction.
