  • Patent number: 10934892
Abstract: An axial flow turbine comprising a casing, a rotor having an axial rotational axis and rotatably mounted into the casing, at least one set of a plurality of moving blades supported by the rotor; and at least one diaphragm having an outer ring, an inner ring, concentric to the outer ring, and a plurality of static blades mounted therebetween, at least the outer ring being split in an upper half and a lower half along a vertical joint plane. The turbine diaphragm comprises an assembly system for assembling the upper half to the lower half while allowing the upper half and the lower half to move axially relative to each other.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 3, 2017
Date of Patent: March 2, 2021
    Assignee: GENERAL ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY GMBH
Inventors: Julien Lemaire, Eric Ollivau, Dominique Travers
  • Publication number: 20200182076
Abstract: Static blade for an axial flow turbine comprising an aerofoil portion having a leading edge, a trailing edge, a pressure side and a suction side and radially inner and outer reinforcement portions integral with said aerofoil portion. Each reinforcement portion closely follows the shape of the section of the aerofoil portion.

    Filed: June 21, 2017
    Publication date: June 11, 2020
    Inventors: JULIEN LEMAIRE, ARNAUD BUGUIN
  • Patent number: 10519522
Abstract: The method for purifying oses from hemicellulose originating from lignocellulosic biomass includes eliminating the cellulose matrix and the solid residues and/or the suspended materials from the acid hydrolysate containing oses in order to obtain a clarified hydrolysate, and subjecting the clarified hydrolysate, without adding any basic chemical reagent to increase the pH to at least one step of ultrafiltration and/or to at least one step of nanofiltration, so as to obtain a filtrate containing the majority of the pentoses and a retentate containing the species likely to precipitate under the effect of an increase in the pH. The filtrate is treated by at least one step of electrodialysis so as to recover the acid catalyst from an acid-supplemented solution, and obtain a deacidified filtrate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 30, 2015
Date of Patent: December 31, 2019
    Assignee: CENTRALESUPELEC
    Inventors: Marc-Andre Theoleyre, Julien Lemaire

  • Patent number: 9429028
Abstract: A pinned root fixing arrangement of axial flow steam turbine rotor discs made of a low alloy that is less susceptible to stress corrosion cracking (SCC). Such an arrangement has a first ratio, which is defined as ratio of the axial breadth of the disc fingers and the sum of the axial breath and the axial breadth G of the gap between adjacent disc fingers, in the range of about 0.4 to about 0.6 and further has a second ratio, which is defined as the ratio of the length of the disc fingers and the blade fingers to the diameter, between 4 and 6.
