Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for welding a cap of a container suitable for containing a medicinal substance. The device comprises a laser for welding the container and a barrel defining a laser firing chamber. The barrel is movable between multiple positions including a container welding position and an unloaded position, a laser shutter, the barrel opening the shutter in the welding position and closing the shutter in the unloaded position, and a skirt capable of preventing or allowing the barrel to move between the unloaded position and the welding position.
