  • Publication number: 20240049075
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to, e.g., a method performed by a source access node relating to handover of a UE. The source access node sends to a target access node, an initial handover preparation message with a first explicit indicator for the target access node to request an enhanced Make-Before-Break Handover. The source access node receives an handover preparation response message from the target access node, with a second explicit indicator accepting or rejecting the requested enhanced Make-Before-Break Handover. Further, the source access node selects a possible fallback mechanism, upon reception of the handover preparation response message from the target access node indicating rejection or no support of enhanced Make-Before-Break Handover.

  • Publication number: 20230379788
Abstract: The invention concerns MR-DC (multi-radio dual connectivity) in which a UE is connected to a master node (MN) and secondary nodes (SN). In a Conditional PSCell Change (CPC)—i.e. a PS-Cell Change which is executed by the UE when an execution condition is met—a source secondary node, S-SN, may send a cancellation indication to a master node, MN, when said S-SN desires cancellation of a CPC configuration. Subsequently, the MN transmits a cancellation indication to the target candidate SNs configured with CPC.

  • Publication number: 20230199577
Abstract: Techniques for conditional reconfiguration in a multi-connectivity scenario. In an example method, a first network node, configured to operate as a master node, MN, for multi-connectivity operation of a wireless device along with a second network node operating as a secondary node, SN, for the wireless device, determines (810) to configure the wireless device with a conditional reconfiguration and transmits (820) a handover request message to a third network node, the handover request message including an indication that the handover request message is for conditional handover. The first network node receives (830) an acknowledgment of the handover request message and, in response, delays (840) transmission of a release message to the second network node until the first network node receives an indication that the conditional handover is executed.
