  • Patent number: 7647657
Abstract: The comforter includes a core portion which includes upper and lower fabric layers with lines of stitching connecting the upper and lower fabric layers and filling within the volumes of the core portion defined thereby. Border portions are attached to the head and foot ends of the core portion, wherein the top edge of the core portion is gathered and the head border portion sewn thereto. The width of the top edge of the core portion is approximately 20-75% wider ungathered than when gathered and sewn to the head border portion. The lower edge of the core portion is approximately 0-50% wider ungathered than when gathered and sewn to the foot border portion. Side border portions are secured to the sides of the core portion and to the opposing ends of the head and foot border portions.

  • Publication number: 20090199342
Abstract: The pillow includes first and second substantially identical fabric outer layers which are secured together around the peripheries thereof. First, second and third fabric sections are positioned between the outer layers, wherein the first and third fabric sections are secured along one of their longitudinal edges, respectively, to the opposing longitudinal edges of the outer layers. The second fabric section is secured to the first fabric section along two lines of securement defining a first interior volume and also along two other lines of securement to the third fabric section defining a second interior volume. The lines of securement are spaced inwardly of the pillow from the longitudinal edges of the outer layers.

  • Patent number: 7356864
Abstract: The featherbed includes upper and lower fabric layers, with the upper layer being longer than the lower layer. Lines of stitching connect the upper layer to the lower layer at spaced lateral lines along the length of the featherbed, thereby defining successive abutting lateral half-tubules, which are filled such that the upper layer extends away from the lower layer in a curved configuration, defining a plurality of half-tubules, generally in the shape of half-ellipses, with the fill density being greater, approximately 21% than that of a similar-sized conventional featherbed.

  • Patent number: 7080421
Abstract: The bedding article includes three fabric sections having approximately the same size and positioned in registry. Two fabric baffle strips extend in one dimension between and connected to upper and middle fabric sections, defining three interior chambers therebetween. Two fabric baffle strips extend in a dimension perpendicular to the dimension between and connected to the lower and middle fabric sections, also defining three chambers therebetween. Loose filling is placed into all of the chambers defined by the baffle strips.

  • Patent number: 6301730
Abstract: The high loft comforter includes a lower tick portion and an upper tick portion of material, the upper tick portion comprising a plurality of squares arranged and sewn together and then to the lower tick portion, forming rows and columns thereof. Each square has a pleat at each corner thereof, so that when the squares are sewn together and to the lower tick portion, rows and columns of box-like volumes are defined, with approximately straight side portions. Each box volume contains a selected volume of fill, thus providing a high loft, puffy arrangement for the comforter.
