  • Publication number: 20240081994
Abstract: A steerable delivery system is provided for delivering a replacement heart valve to a native heart valve location. The steerable delivery system includes an outer sheath assembly having a capsule along a distal end portion for retaining the replacement heart valve in a compressed configuration. The capsule is constructed to provide both compression resistance and flexibility. The capsule may be formed with an outer polymer layer, a metal middle layer located on a radially inner surface of the outer polymer layer, and an inner liner located on a radially inner surface of the metal middle layer. A fluoroelastomer layer is provided for bonding the inner liner to the metal middle layer. The metal middle layer is preferably a metal hypotube.

  • Patent number: 11517339
Abstract: Flexible expandable treatment devices are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed to an expandable tubular structure formed of an interwoven strand and configured to be positioned in a blood vessel. The interwoven strand may be arranged to form a plurality of cells and a plurality of joints between adjacent cells. At least one of the joints may include a first strand slidably interlocked with a second strand, and at least one of the first strand and the second strand may bend back on itself to form a restriction that limits disengagement of the first strand and the second strand at the joint.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for treating vascular defects are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, includes an occlusive device comprising an expandable mesh including an outer mesh and an inner mesh disposed within the outer mesh when the mesh is in an expanded, unconstrained state. The mesh may include a connection portion positioned at or within an inner cavity of the inner mesh and configured to be detachably coupled to a delivery member. The inner cavity may be configured to receive a distal portion of an elongated shaft and contain the distal portion while one or more coils is delivered through the elongated shaft into the inner cavity.

  • Publication number: 20070275012
Abstract: The present invention is related with the field of therapeutic vaccines against pathogens causing chronic diseases. It comprises the use in therapy of formulations containing the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) as the main compound. The HBsAg is produced as a recombinant product in Picchia pastoris. The formulations of the present invention also comprise the combination of the Hepatitis B surface antigen and other coadministered antigens. The resulting formulations are able to generate potent lymphoprolipherative and cytotoxic responses apart from a remarkable response of specific antibodies, which make them very effective in the treatment of such diseases.

  • Publication number: 20070084324
Abstract: Described herein is an automated bakery product slicer including a supporting structure, a sliding base plate, a rotatable dish, and a slicing mechanism. The bakery product slicer also includes a first actuator to actuate the base plate in opposing directions and a second actuator to rotate the rotatable dish. The slicer may also include a blocking mechanism to limit an amount of rotation of the rotatable dish and a power source to drive the slicing mechanism. In operation, the base plate directs the bakery product into a cutting path of the slicing mechanism to form a cut in the bakery product. Thereafter, the rotatable dish is rotated a predetermined amount, and the base plate is moved in an opposite direction so that the slicing mechanism forms another cut in the bakery product. The rotatable dish may be rotated and the process repeated to form any number of bakery product slices.
