  • Publication number: 20230125759
Abstract: A patient interface assembly includes a patient interface configured to deliver breathing gases to the airway of a patient. A headgear is configured to support the patient interface on the head of a patient. The headgear can include a tab on each side configured to overlie the patient's cheek and forming a portion or an entirety of an attachment region for the patient interface. The tab can be angled relative to an adjacent portion of the headgear. In some configurations, the headgear includes a rear portion having a first degree of stretch and/or a front portion having a second degree of stretch. In some configurations, the headgear also includes a chinstrap having a third degree of stretch. In some configurations, the third degree of stretch is greater than the first degree of stretch and the second degree of stretch.

  • Publication number: 20230112217
Abstract: A patient interface for respiratory therapy includes an interface body and a housing for receiving the interface body. The patient interface also includes a securement member having a pair of support pads, each of the support pads configured to engage the face of a user. In some configurations, the interface body can be a cannula body or a mask body. In some configurations, the housing can receive different interface bodies, and the interface bodies are interchangeable.

  • Publication number: 20220370747
Abstract: A patient interface for respiratory therapy includes a nasal interface having nasal prongs configured to contact nares of the user and form a seal. The patient interface also includes a securement portion having a pair of facial pads, each of the facial pads configured to engage the face of a user on opposing sides of the nasal interface. The facial pads are coupled to the bridging portions configured to urge the nasal interface toward the user's face to create or maintain sealing engagement between the nasal interface and the user's face. In some configurations, the securement portion and the nasal interface are detachably coupled to each other.

  • Publication number: 20220211962
Abstract: A patient interface for respiratory therapy includes a mask seal body defining a breathing chamber and having a user-contacting surface configured to contact a face of the user and surround at least the nares of the user. The patient interface also includes a pair of facial pads, each of the facial pads configured to engage the face of a user on opposing sides of the mask seal body. The facial pads are coupled to the mask seal body. The patient interface comprises a sealing mechanism configured to urge the mask seal body toward the user's face to create or maintain sealing engagement between the user-contacting surface and the user's face. In some configurations, the sealing mechanism includes a curved bridging portion that extends between the mask seal body and each of the facial pads.

  • Publication number: 20210370003
Abstract: A patient interface assembly has a patient interface and a securement system for the patient interface and/or patient interface tubing. The patient interface has a body and at least one nasal prong extending from the body. The at least one nasal prong has a gas inlet for fluid communication with a supply of breathable gas, and a gas outlet configured to direct a flow of gas towards a nare of the user's nose. The at least one nasal prong further includes an exterior surface, at least a portion of the exterior surface is a sealing surface configured to seal the nare of the user's nose. The securement system has a two-part releasable attachment or connection arrangement, the arrangement comprising a first patch and a second patch.

  • Publication number: 20210138176
Abstract: Connectors for respiratory assistance systems are disclosed. The connectors include an inspiratory conduit port, an expiratory conduit port, a first interface port, a second interface port, and a body or body portion formed between the inspiratory conduit port, the expiratory conduit port and the first and second interface ports, the body or body portion defining an interior cavity that fluidly couples, at least in part, the inspiratory conduit port and the expiratory conduit port to the first and second interface ports. The first and second interface ports are each fluidly couplable to a patient interface. Preferably, the first interface port is adapted to be coupled to an adult patient interface and the second interface port is adapted to be coupled to a pediatric or neonatal patient interface.
