Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for controlling microbial contamination of scooters are disclosed. A method may include determining that a user interaction with a vehicle is complete, presenting a first indication that the vehicle is unavailable for use, activating a heating element of the vehicle, the heating element associated with a microbial reduction process, determining that a time period associated with the microbial reduction process has expired, deactivating, based on the expiration of the time period, the heating element of the vehicle, and presenting a second indication that the vehicle is available for use.
