  • Publication number: 20180051249
Abstract: Provided herein according to some embodiments is a method for producing an induced neural stem cell (iNSC), which method may include one or more of the steps of: providing a somatic cell; introducing into (e.g., by transfecting or transducing) said somatic cell with a nucleic acid encoding Sox2, whereby said cell expresses Sox2; and then transdifferentiating said somatic cell (e.g., by growing the cell in a neural progenitor medium), to thereby make said induced neural stem cell. In some embodiments, the transdifferentiating is carried out for a time of from 1 to 10 days, from 1 to 5 days, from 1 to 3 days, or from 12 to 24 or 48 hours.

  • Patent number: 8657992
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the bonding of one or more material layers to a display panel which yields a resulting bonded assembly which is transparent and substantially free of optical defects such as entrapped dirt and air bubbles. During the bonding process of the present disclosure, a moving dispensing probe, or needle, dispenses a liquid bonding material into an air gap between the surfaces to be bonded in a manner which continuously touches (wets) each surface simultaneously. By simultaneously wetting each surface, and by dispensing the liquid bonding material in a predetermined pattern between the surfaces, the introduction of entrapped dirt and the formation of air bubbles is prevented as the two mating surfaces are subsequently pressed together and the adhesive is cured.

  • Publication number: 20110168328
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the bonding of one or more material layers (106) to a display panel (102) which yields a resulting bonded assembly (100) which is transparent and substantially free of optical defects such as entrapped dirt and air bubbles. During the bonding process of the present disclosure, a moving dispensing probe, or needle (200), dispenses a liquid bonding material (110) into an air gap (300) between the surfaces to be bonded in a manner which continuously touches (wets) each surface simultaneously. By simultaneously wetting each surface, and by dispensing the liquid bonding material (110) in a predetermined pattern between the surfaces, the introduction of entrapped dirt and the formation of air bubbles is prevented as the two mating surfaces are subsequently pressed together and the adhesive is cured.

  • Patent number: 5535112
Abstract: A DC/DC conversion circuit of the type that implements the "forward PWM" topology includes a DC/AC converter, a self-driven synchronous rectifier which rectifies the alternating voltage signal coming from the DC/AC converter, and a filter that filters the rectified signal, thereby obtaining the DC output voltage from the DC/DC conversion circuit. This DC/DC conversion circuit is characterized in that the DC/AC converter includes means to generate an alternating signal with a square waveform that does not take zero instantaneous values such that no current flows through the body diode of either of the transistors of the self-driven synchronous rectifier.
