Abstract: A process management apparatus allows even a user with a low level of technical skills to accurately and quickly estimate a failure factor when a failure occurs in an object of processing due to a failure of processing in a processing system that performs processing for the object. An estimation processor reads out information on conditions leading to failure factors from an estimation knowledge recording section and presents the conditions to a user as questions in order. Analysis IDs are associated with the respective conditions. A data processor receives analysis ID information of a condition corresponding to a question to read out data collection method information and data processing method information corresponding to a relevant ID, performs analysis in accordance with the data collection method information and the data processing method information, and presents an analysis result to the user.
