    Abstract: Disclosed are a nickel-based superalloy formed by selective laser melting and a preparation method thereof. In the method, CrFeNb alloy powder is used as a grain refiner, and its element composition is within the composition range of a nickel-based superalloy powder to ensure that the prepared nickel-based superalloy has the same element composition with the original alloy; the grain size in the nickel-based superalloy could be refined by the addition of CrFeNb alloy powder, such that the anisotropic columnar grain structure in the alloy is transformed to equiaxed grain structure, thereby improving mechanical properties of the alloy.

    Abstract: A dispersion, methods of making the same, applications of the dispersion to graphitic material and the resulting coated particles are disclosed. The dispersion includes ?55% wt. coal tar pitch (softening point 100° C.-195° C.), ?60% wt. dispersant, and the balance a non-aromatic solvent such as water or alcohol. Pitch particles in the dispersion are preferably <10 ?m with a distribution of D50<15 ?m. The pitch particles are micronized, such as by dry and/or wet milling with the dispersant and aqueous solvent to achieve the desired pitch particle size and distribution. This aqueous dispersion may be mixed with natural or synthetic graphitic material having a diameter of 5-20 ?m in a ratio of 5%-30% pitch to graphite, dried and carbonized to form coated particles having a graphitic core at least partially coated by pitch particles.

    Abstract: A sealing packing includes a core portion and a housing wrapped around the exterior of the core portion that has a rounded rectangular cross-sectional shape. The housing comprises a plurality of fiber threads woven together with each other and a barrier sealant filled between the plurality of fiber threads. Between the core portion and the housing, a lubricating layer covers the housing. The core portion has a cross-sectional area of 15-75% of the cross-sectional area of the sealing packing. The core portion comprises a central supportive reinforcing core with an X-shaped cross-section and a plurality of elastic supplementing cores. The central supportive reinforcing core has a central portion extending along the central axis of the core portion and four support portions extending outwardly from the central portion. Each support portion points to a respective corresponding corner of the housing. A method for preparing the sealing packing is also provided.
