    Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for reducing the number of shots required to perform a noisy circuit simulation. A noise model, such as the Pauli noise model or the Kraus noise model, is applied to each shot of the quantum circuit, where the noise model randomly selects a gate operation to be performed in simulating the quantum circuit. A subset of shots are identified (e.g., shot numbers 1 and 3), where each of the selected subset of shots has the same gate operation(s) selected by the noise model to be performed in simulating the quantum circuit. A single simulation of the quantum circuit will then be performed for such a subset of shots using the selected gate operation (e.g., Pauli Z gate) for such a group of shots. In this manner, the number of shots required to perform a noisy circuit simulation is reduced.

The firmware update method includes the following steps: downloading a differential upgrade package and a differential restoration package through a communication network channel; performing an upgrade operation to current firmware of the terminal device with the differential upgrade package to upgrade the current firmware to a target firmware, wherein the current firmware is changed into incompletely-upgraded firmware after the upgrade operation starts and before the upgrade operation finishes successfully; and verifying whether the upgrade operation fails, and when the upgrade operation fails, performing a restoration operation to the incompletely-upgraded firmware with the differential restoration package to restore the incompletely-upgraded firmware to the current firmware.

The detector is provided on the upstream side of the output portion and detects a light quantity of the luminous flux. A controller controls the light source based on the signal outputted from the output portion and the light quantity detected by the detector. The luminous flux reaching the detector is reflected at a position closer to an end portion of a reflecting surface of the rotatable polygon mirror in the main scanning direction than the luminous flux reaching the output portion.

    Abstract: Objects are to provide a display device the power consumption of which is reduced, to provide a self-luminous display device the power consumption of which is reduced and which is capable of long-term use in a dark place. A circuit is formed using a thin film transistor in which a highly-purified oxide semiconductor is used and a pixel can keep a certain state (a state in which a video signal has been written). As a result, even in the case of displaying a still image, stable operation is easily performed. In addition, an operation interval of a driver circuit can be extended, which results in a reduction in power consumption of a display device. Moreover, a light-storing material is used in a pixel portion of a self-luminous display device to store light, whereby the display device can be used in a dark place for a long time.
