  • Publication number: 20150187070
Abstract: A method is proposed for automatically locating the optic disc or the optic cup in an image of the rear of an eye. A portion of the image containing the optic disc or optic cup is divided into sub-regions using a clustering algorithm. Biologically inspired features, and optionally other features, are obtained for each of the sub-regions. An adaptive model uses the features to generate data indicative of whether each sub-region is within or outside the optic disc or optic cup. The result is then smoothed, to form an estimate of the position of the optic disc or optic cup.

  • Patent number: 9055599
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus is capable of improving communication efficiency by reducing the amount of control information transmitted. A channel quality information extraction section extracts CQI's from a received signal. An allocation control section allocates subcarriers for every communication terminal apparatus and selects a modulation scheme in such a manner that required transmission rate is satisfied for each communication terminal apparatus based on required transmission rate information, etc. and CQI's for communication terminal apparatus of each user. A required subcarrier number determining section decides the number of subcarriers allocated to every communication terminal apparatus so as to satisfy the required transmission rate for each communication terminal apparatus. A required subcarrier number information generating section generates information for the number of subcarriers allocated to every communication terminal apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20150064571
Abstract: A current collector structure includes a metal foil substrate and a graphene conductive layer provided on at least one surface of the metal foil substrate. The graphene conductive layer includes a plurality of graphene sheets and a polymer binder used to bind the graphene sheets together and to adhere the graphene sheets onto the metal foil substrate. The conductive layer has a thickness of 0.1 ?m to 5 ?m and a resistance less than 1 ?-cm. The polymer binder increases the adhesion force, such that the integrated conductive network is thus formed. Since the polymer binder is well compatible with the binder as the active material contained in the electrochemical element. The active material of the electrochemical element is thus tightly bound with the graphene conductive layer so as to minimize the contact resistance and greatly improve the performance of the electrochemical element.
