  • Publication number: 20240101066
Abstract: When a vehicle and a smartphone are in a second communication state, the vehicle can operate, and then if the vehicle and the smartphone are not in the second communication state for a predetermined time or longer, and if a main switch of the vehicle detects a predetermined operation, an emergency advertising is transmitted from the vehicle. Thereby, the smartphone can be used as a key that can receive the emergency information from the vehicle. By enabling the smartphone to be used as a key for the vehicle, it is possible to popularize a smartphone that can be used as a key for the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11921518
Abstract: A vehicle control system includes: a vehicle including an operation device; a first communication device; and a second communication device. In a case in which the first communication device is positioned in a first area containing a position of the vehicle, the vehicle operates in an operation waiting state in which the operation device is allowed to receive an operation. In a case in which the second communication device is positioned in a second area contained in the first area and smaller than the first area, the vehicle operates in the operation waiting state. In a case in which the first communication device is positioned in the first area and the second communication device is positioned in the second area, the second communication device generates a notification indicating that the vehicle is in the operation waiting state.

  • Publication number: 20230294635
Abstract: In digital wireless communication performed between a vehicle and an electronic key terminal, the electronic key terminal and the vehicle periodically perform advertising transmission at a first time interval, periodically perform, at a second time interval, verification communication of confirming whether authentication of the electronic key terminal is established after the advertising transmission, periodically perform, at a third time interval, periodic communication performed after the authentication is established in the verification communication, and set the third time interval of the periodic communication to be longer than the second time interval of the verification communication. Accordingly, the responsiveness of the communication between the electronic key terminal and the vehicle can be improved. In addition, the first time interval of the advertising transmission is set to be longer than the second time interval of the verification communication.

  • Publication number: 20230262437
Abstract: A vehicle wireless communication system includes: a vehicle including an output circuit; and first and second communication devices configured to wirelessly communicate with the vehicle. In a case in which the first communication device is positioned in a first area including one point located inside the vehicle, the use of the vehicle is permitted. In a case in which the first communication device is positioned in a second area including the one point and the second communication device is not positioned in a third area including the one point, the output circuit outputs a notification that there is a possibility of failure to carry the second communication device. In a case in which the first communication device is positioned in the second area and the second communication device is positioned in the third area, the output circuit of the vehicle does not output the notification.

  • Patent number: 9811961
Abstract: This vehicular near field communication system has a configuration where a portable device receives a first signal and a second signal respectively transmitted from a vehicle-exterior antenna and a vehicle-interior antenna of an on-board instrument mounted in a vehicle, measures a first received signal strength from the first signal, measures a second received signal strength from the second signal, adds an offset to the second received signal strength, and transmits a response signal to the on-board instrument in accordance with the first received signal strength and the second received signal strength added with the offset, so as to be able to prevent a portable device from being locked in a cabin even though the portable device is shielded by a metal in the cabin.

  • Patent number: 9813846
Abstract: This short-distance radio communication system for a vehicle includes an in-vehicle unit having more than one antenna and a portable unit performing radio communications with the in-vehicle unit. The in-vehicle unit transmits a first burst together with a call signal for calling the portable unit through a first antenna, and transmits a second burst subsequent to the first burst through a second antenna. The portable unit receives the signals transmitted from the in-vehicle unit, measures respective received signal strength indicators from the first burst and the second burst contained in the received signals, and responds to the in-vehicle unit according to results of comparing the respective indicators with given thresholds.
