  • Patent number: 8844579
Abstract: A flexible tube includes a bellows tube, an interlock tube placed inside the bellows tube, and upstream-side and downstream-side joint pipes coupled to opposite ends of the bellows tube. Diameters of fixing end portions located at opposite ends of the interlock tube are made larger than a diameter at a middle portion of the interlock tube, extension portions of the upstream-side and downstream-side joint pipes are fitted and fixed to inner peripheral surfaces of the fixing end portions of the interlock tube, and a depth of each of valley portions of a bellows portion of the bellows tube located over the fixing end portions is smaller than a depth of other valley portions of the bellows portion. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve the downsizing of the flexible tube that is connected to an exhaust system being continuous with an engine to dampen vibrations in the axial direction of the exhaust system.

  • Patent number: 6628317
Abstract: An optical printer has a DMD as a spatial light modulator. An optical image corresponding to a fraction of a picture frame is projected from the DMD onto a photographic paper at a predetermined time interval. The photographic paper is advanced intermittently by a length corresponding to an exposure area for one optical image. A fluctuation value from a set advanced length for one advancing step is detected at each advancing step and accumulated. The DMD is mounted on a swinging plate whose angle is controllable by a piezoelectric element, to shift the exposure position on the photographic paper. In accordance with an accumulated fluctuation value, drive voltage to the piezoelectric element is changed from a reference value to correct the exposure position so as to print the picture frame without any gap or overlap between the fractions.

  • Publication number: 20020194214
Abstract: A method and a device for managing an image forming device by a management device connected therewith via a communication line. A terminal provided on the image forming device records operating information, and collects monitoring information corresponding to the operating information by monitoring the image forming device from the outside, so that the operating information and the monitoring information are transmitted to the management device via the communication line. The management device administers the image forming device and transmits coping information necessary for the image forming device to the terminal on the image forming device based on the operating information and the monitoring information. When the operation of the image forming device is abnormal, it can be dealt with quickly and accurately achieving a reduction in the period of analyzing the cause of the abnormality and repairing the image forming device.

  • Patent number: 6338246
Abstract: An exhaust passage control valve has a valve element of a spiral shape mounted on a valve seat portion of a housing through which exhaust gases from an engine pass. The valve element is urged by a valve spring in a direction of closing the valve. A spring constant of the valve spring is kept low without enlarging the valve spring, and there can be obtained opening and closing characteristics in that the valve opens at a stretch when an exhaust-gas pressure has reached a predetermined value. As the valve spring, a helical torsion spring having a coiled cylindrical body portion is used. Arm portions on both ends of a coiled cylindrical body portion are engaged with a pair of spring receiving members. The spring receiving members are disposed in the housing on circumferentially opposite sides of the valve seat portions. The arm portion are engaged with the spring receiving members so as to be slidable in a longitudinal direction of the arm portions.

  • Patent number: 5122649
Abstract: A MOS-type solid-state imaging device is disclosed capable of high speed scanning. The imaging device includes a plurality of photodiodes arranged in a matrix form, a vertical scanning circuit, a horizontal scanning circuit, a first group of switching transistors and a second switching transistors. The imaging device enables multiple pixel signals to be simultaneously outputted without adversely effecting adjacent pixel signals during a scanning operations. A separating layer formed of an impurity layer held at a predetermined potential is embedded at least between two adjacent switching transistors, thereby separating the capacitive coupling between the two adjacent sets of switching transistors.

  • Patent number: 5115293
Abstract: A solid-state imaging device constructed according to the TSL system having a plurality of photodiodes arrayed in matrix form so as to serve as a group of pixels, a vertical selection gate line extending from a vertical scanning circuit, a horizontal selection gate line extending from a horizontal scanning circuit, and a signal read line. A projection made of an impurity layer identical to that of the photodiodes is formed at an end of each of the photodiodes. A first switching transistor is formed by interconnecting the vertical selection gate line made of a polysilicon layer so as to cross over an upper surface of each of the projections. A second switching transistor is formed by laminating a gate portion made of a polysilicon layer on the other upper surface of each of the projections.
