  • Publication number: 20020025056
Abstract: In order to achieve a microphone connection of a wrist-carried information device and an attachment and detachment of the wrist-carried information device, transmission of a microphone output is performed such that, at a time when the wrist-carried information device is detached from the wrist an electrode terminal (A) provided to a main body case and an electrode terminal (B) provided to a band make contact with each other, and at a time when the wrist-carried information device is attached to the wrist, the electrode terminal (A) provided to the main body case and the electrode terminal (B) provided to the band disengage their connection with each other; and the attachment and detachment of the wrist-carried information device is performed by means of a combination of the entering and exiting of the electrode terminal (A) producing a click sensation upon the attaching and detaching manipulation, and a band spring which applies force in the direction to detach the band.

  • Publication number: 20020009989
Abstract: An information provision method effectively utilizes a mobile communication infrastructure to offer a user-friendly communication service. A portable telephone is carried in a state of being separated from a user's body while a wrist-worn portable terminal is carried in a state of being maintained in direct contact with the user's wrist like a wristwatch. When the portable telephone receives service information during a main communication process, e.g., telephone conversation, it transfers the service information to the wrist-worn portable terminal. The wrist-worn portable terminal outputs and displays the transferred service information. A portable telephone company enables communication through the user's portable telephone by using a portable telephone communication infrastructure, and transmits service information to the portable telephone during intervals between time periods for the main communication process.

  • Publication number: 20010056305
Abstract: An appliance management system includes an electronic device having some functions useful to a user, and an appliance management device designed to be always carried by the user. The electronic device receives a predetermined signal from the appliance management device, and extracts an ID code of the appliance management device. The electronic device becomes unusable when the signal receiving condition is bad. The functions of the electronic device are restricted according to the result of collation between management information registered in the electronic device and the ID code in the received signal.

  • Patent number: 5550795
Abstract: To obtain an electronic clock which realizes miniaturization and low power consumption, and improves the precision of the rotation detection of a rotor by supplying a stepping motor with an effective power in accordance with the increase of a load to the stepping motor with time and performance of parts.A detect assistant pulse is supplied to the stepping motor to amplify a voltage induced by the rotational motion of the rotor which occurs after the main drive pulse is interrupted.

  • Patent number: 5365139
Abstract: An electronic apparatus which is equipped with an ultrasonic motor and which consumes only a small amount of electric power, is stable in performance, and is capable of accurately controlling the angular position is offered.A driving pulse storage circuit stores driving pulses corresponding to the environment of the components of the ultrasonic motor. A stopping pulse storage circuit stores stopping pulses corresponding to the environment of the components of the motor. An environment detection means detects the environment of the components. An output pulse-selecting circuit receives the output signal from a driving pulse-generating circuit and the output signal from a stopping pulse-generating circuit and produces output pulses corresponding to the output signal from a detection signal-generating circuit to a piezoelectric vibrator-driving circuit. The moving member and the output means are operated by ultrasonic vibration of the vibrating member.

  • Patent number: 5153486
Abstract: An ultrasonic motor which has a driving circuit monitoring a current flowing through a piezoelectric element of the ultrasonic motor, shaping and amplifying the current, and feeding back as a control voltage to a voltage-controlled oscillating circuit, whose output is used to generate a drive signal for the ultrasonic motor. This ultrasonic motor driving circuit is provided with a rotation halt detector that detects when the ultrasonic motor stops its rotation. According to an output signal of the rotation halt detector, a reference voltage for the rectification and amplification is variably controlled.

  • Patent number: 5142249
Abstract: A current controlled signal processor adjusts the characteristics of an output frequency of a current controlled type oscillation circuit in accordance with stored information. A control current is generated dependent on the stored information. The output frequency of a current controlled oscillator varies dependent on the control current. The stored information may be altered, thereby allowing for the altering of the output frequency of the current controlled oscillator without requiring replacement or addition of electronic elements. Also, the present invention makes it possible to assemble the current controlled signal processor circuits into one integrated chip.

  • Patent number: 4873477
Abstract: The actuator has a displacement detector and is driven intermittently through a given displacement. A mean amount of drive signals per one intermittent drive such as a mean duration of drive signals and a mean number of drive pulse signals is calculated through a predetermined number of intermittent drives. The mean amount of drive signals is intermittently applied to the actuator for a given number of intermittent drives without the displacement detection. After the given number of intermittent drives by the calculated mean amount, another intermittent drive with the displacement detection is carried out. At this time, the total duration of the drive pulse signals or number of the drive pulse signals outputted until the completion of the given displacement is compared with the calculated mean amount.
