The tunable chromatic dispersion compensation device comprises a chromatic dispersion compensator, and a controller. The chromatic dispersion compensator comprises at least a first chromatic dispersion compensation unit and a second chromatic dispersion compensation unit connected with the first chromatic dispersion compensation unit in series. The first chromatic dispersion compensation unit has a free spectral range, the second chromatic dispersion compensation unit has a free spectral range same as to that of the first chromatic dispersion compensation unit. Each chromatic dispersion compensation unit comprises an interference cavity. The first second fluid paths are configured so the first fluid and second fluid move through the channel to define an adjustable liquid gradient refractive index distribution in the channel. Adjustment of the liquid gradient refractive index distribution permits a change of liquid lens focal distance or an angular adjustment of light emitted by the light emitting device.

By the method and apparatus, all kinds of interference are minimized and an optimum ranging function is implemented.

The site B determines whether the reassignment message is received correctly, and processes traffic data and transmits the traffic data to the site A according to a determining result. The site A processes the traffic data, and determines whether the reassignment message is correctly received by the site B through determining whether the traffic data are correct. The method and the system enable a base station to determine whether a terminal correctly receives a reassignment message without the terminal transmitting an acknowledgement message, which guarantees fluent communications between the two parties.

    Abstract: The present invention adopts the fundamental architecture of a statistical machine translation system which utilizes statistical models learned from the training data and does not require expert knowledge for rule-based machine translation systems. Out of the training parallel data, a certain amount of sentence pairs are selected for manual alignment. These sentences are aligned at the phrase level instead of at the word level. Depending on the size of the training data, the optimal amount for manual alignment may vary. The alignment is done using an alignment tool with a graphical user interface which is convenient and intuitive to the users. Manually aligned data are then utilized to improve the automatic word alignment component. Model combination methods are also introduced to improve the accuracy and the coverage of statistical models for the task of statistical machine translation.
