  • Publication number: 20240199425
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for mass synthesis of carbon nanotubes and carbon nanotubes synthesized thereby and, more specifically, to a method for mass synthesis of carbon nanotubes and carbon nanotubes synthesized thereby, wherein the method enables not only the synthesis of a catalyst at a high rate through plasma generation without a separate reductant but also the continuous mass synthesis of high-purity carbon nanotubes. The technical essences of the present invention are a method for mass synthesis of carbon nanotubes and carbon nanotubes synthesized thereby, the method comprising: a first step of supplying a CNT growth material containing a carbon precursor; a second step of disposing a pair of metal wires in a solution mixed with a metal salt, and applying electric power to the metal wires to generate plasma; and a third step of thermally treating the CNT growth material and the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 8070873
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention may provide a coating material having heat resistance, abrasion resistance and low friction characteristics, which is coated on an operating component such as a rotating shaft working at a high speed without oil supply in a medium temperature environment (400° C.˜500° C.). This is so that the operating body can sufficiently withstand friction, heat generation and abrasion caused by contact with a bearing. The coating material of the present invention comprises 15 to 25 wt % antimony trioxide (Sb2O3), 50 to 70 wt % binder, 10 to 20 wt % tungsten disulphide (WS2) and 5 to 15 wt % silver (Ag). The binder comprises 60 to 80 wt % nickel (Ni) and 20 to 40 wt % chromium (Cr).

  • Patent number: 7615291
Abstract: There is provided a coating material having heat and abrasion resistance and low friction characteristics, as well as a method of utilizing the same. The coating material comprises 20 to 40 wt % Cr2O3, 40 to 60 wt % binder, 10 to 20 wt % WS2, and 10 to 20 wt % Ag. The binder comprises 60 to 80 wt % Ni and 20 to 40 wt % Cr. The binder may further comprise above 0 to 10 wt % Al. The coating method comprises the steps of pulverizing the coating material, pulverizing a binder, applying the pulverized binder to a surface of a workpiece to form a first layer, applying the pulverized coating material to the first layer to form a second layer, and grinding and polishing the surface of the second layer.

  • Publication number: 20080310778
Abstract: There is provided an air foil bearing. The air foil bearing comprises a bearing house and a first foil, wherein a first end of the first foil is fixed with respect to the bearing housing and a second end of the first foil is extended along a peripheral surface of a rotating shaft while maintaining a predetermined clearance with respect to the rotating shaft to thereby become a free end. The air foil bearing also comprises a second foil fabricated from a porous metallic material and extended along the first foil between the first foil and the bearing housing.

  • Publication number: 20080239060
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, a laser scanning unit to scan a beam across the photoconductor to form an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductor, a developing unit to apply a developer to the photoconductor having the electrostatic latent image formed thereon to form a visible image on the photoconductor, and a transferring unit to transfer the visible image, formed on the photoconductor, to a print medium. The laser scanning unit includes a light source to generate a beam according to an image signal, a polygon mirror including a plurality of reflection surfaces to deflect the beam, generated by the light source, in the main scanning direction, the reflection surfaces being aspherical to correct an aberration of the beam to converge the beam, deflected in the main scanning direction, on the photoconductor, and a motor to rotate the polygon mirror.
