  • Patent number: 9954724
Abstract: In a wireless terminal of a network system in which routes amongst a plurality of nodes are dynamically adjusted according to an environment, the wireless terminal forms a target node forming a final destination of data sent from a sending node. The wireless terminal computes a partitioning probability indicating whether transmission fails by partitioning a location with respect to each pair of a sending source node and a sending destination node, based on a partitioning point set included in a packet received from a relaying node within the network system, wherein the partitioning point set includes partitioning points where nodes partition routes within the network system, and generates an importance representing an effect of a failure of the relaying node on the network system by a transmission failure probability.

  • Patent number: 9705797
Abstract: In a network including a plurality of nodes, a node transmits data to another node, receives data from another node, and stores a communication history between a plurality of other nodes and the node itself. When an acknowledge response to data transmitted to a first node among the plurality of other nodes is not received, the node generates a duplicate data of the transmitted data. When a duplication report indicating detection of duplicate data transmitted to a second node among the plurality of other nodes has been received from one of the plurality of other nodes, the node refers to the communication history, and identifies the first node as a cause of generation of the duplicate data. Thereafter, the node generates a check request that include a communication history between the first node and the node itself and that requests the first node to check the communication history.

  • Patent number: 9357583
Abstract: A processor of a gateway node device determines whether to divide a first tree included in a tree structure formed by sensor node devices intermittently operating and the gateway node device as a root of the tree structure. The first tree includes a first node device as a root. The processor divides, upon determining to divide the first tree, the first tree into a second tree and a third tree at a second node device different from the first node device. The second node device is a root of the second tree. The second node device is a child node of the third tree. The processor assigns active time periods within an intermittent operation cycle to the respective second and third trees. The assigned active time periods are mutually disjoint. The processor notifies sensor node devices included in the first tree of the assigned active time periods.

  • Patent number: 7343371
Abstract: A query-and-response processing method for analyzing the intention of a query provided by a user reduces search result information to an amount manageable for the user, sorts out the result information, and presents it in an easily readable form to the user. A search request analyzer analyzes a search request provided from the user, a search criteria generator generates search criteria, then a search executor searches through a database. A query intention analyzer analyzes the intention of a query from the user, such as a query topic, and an output formatter, based on the result of the analysis, selects items to be presented to the user from the search results and determines the output format of the search results. A presentation module receives the results and presents the data to the user.

  • Patent number: 7181471
Abstract: A data extracting unit extracts from a text fact data stipulated by a combination of a target object, an attribute name, and an attribute value. A data aggregating unit groups data similar to the extracted fact data throughout the text, and aggregates the number of occurrences. An inconsistency detecting unit detects an inconsistent data group which cannot be consistent by scanning a data set aggregated by the data aggregating unit. A correctness/incorrectness determining unit determines which data is correct within the inconsistent data group. A final data integrating unit integrates and outputs correct data. Additionally, the degree of reliability is assigned to fact data when the fact data is extracted from a text, and also a correctness/incorrectness determination of each data within a data group can be made by using the degree of reliability assigned to the fact data.

  • Patent number: 5361205
Abstract: An apparatus which translates a document (character string) having various kinds of typographical information, such as on a font size and on a font style, as character attributes, and reflects the typographical information attached to an original text of the document. The apparatus performs a morpheme analysis with typographical information saved, by regarding a piece of typographical information as a morpheme for a document having typographical information between characters. The apparatus judges typographical information attached to each character forming a morpheme after performing a morpheme analysis for a sentence having a piece of typographical information as a character attribute, and determines morpheme typographical information when characters forming a single morpheme carry different pieces of typographical information.
