    Abstract: The present invention enables shortening the time required for resuming communication in a protection method that uses a backup path in an optical communication system that includes a master station device and multiple slave station devices. The slave station devices are connected to a loop path in parallel. The communication paths between the master station device and the slave station devices include a normal path and a backup path. The master station device executes communication control processing with respect to the slave station devices based on the RTTs. A first slave station device is a slave station device that cannot perform communication via the normal path. If the first slave station device is detected, the master station device calculates a first backup path for the first slave station device based on a first RTT between the master station device and the loop path, a loop RTT required for one full lap on the loop path, and the first normal path RTT for the first slave station device.

    Abstract: A lithium ion battery comprises a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal, a battery case, and an electrode body housed inside the battery case. The electrode body has a positive electrode current collector and a positive-electrode electrode plate and a negative electrode current collector and a negative-electrode electrode plate, and has a structure in which the positive-electrode electrode plate and the negative-electrode electrode plate are laminated via a separator. A carbon-based porous material in a battery case has a methane gas absorption capacity and preferably has a carbon dioxide gas absorption capacity and has a pore volume of 0.3 mL/g or less, for pores having a pore size of 4.5 ? or more. Such a gas absorber for a lithium ion battery generates no gas from reaction with an electrolytic solution of the lithium ion battery and can suitably absorb methane gas generated at the time of abnormality.

    Abstract: A lithium ion battery includes a positive electrode terminal, a negative electrode terminal, and a battery case, which is an airtight container. An electrode body is housed inside the battery case. The electrode body has a positive electrode current collector, a positive-electrode electrode plate, a negative electrode current collector, and a negative-electrode electrode plated. The positive-electrode electrode plate and the negative-electrode electrode plated are laminated via a separator. A hydrofluoric acid absorber is placed in a gap portion in the battery case. This hydrofluoric acid absorber preferably is one having a moisture removal capability, such as zeolite. A lithium ion battery using such a hydrofluoric acid absorber has excellent hydrofluoric acid absorption properties, and in particular can suppress the production per se of hydrofluoric acid.

    Abstract: As an electrolyte for a lithium ion battery, there is used one in which an inorganic adsorbent is dispersed in a non-aqueous electrolyte. The non-aqueous electrolyte is one having lithium ion conductivity, preferably a mixed solution of a cyclic carbonate such as propylene carbonate (PC) and ethylene carbonate (EC), and a chain carbonate such as dimethyl carbonate (DMC), ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC), diethyl carbonate (DEC) and the like. This solution may optionally be a solution in which a lithium salt, such as lithium hexafluorophosphate or the like, is dissolved as an electrolyte. The inorganic adsorbent to be dispersed in the non-aqueous electrolyte is preferably a Ca-exchanged A-type zeolite or an activated carbon. Such an electrolyte for a lithium ion battery is suitably used for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery such as a lithium ion battery and is capable of highly maintaining the capability of absorbing moisture and gases.
