  • Publication number: 20180172138
Abstract: A power system includes: an electric motor that drives wheels of a vehicle; a transmission that is disposed on power transmission paths between the electric motor and the wheels; and a differential gear system that distributes output power shifted by the transmission to the wheels. The transmission includes: a first gear mechanically connected to the electric motor; a second gear that has a rotation axis in common with the first gear and is mechanically connected to a differential gear casing of the differential gear system; a pinion gear that meshes with the first gear and the second gear; and a pinion holder that rotatably supports the pillion gear. The pinion holder has a pinion gear supporting portion which is disposed on a side of the differential gear casing to support the pinion gear, relative to a meshing portion between the second gear and the pinion gear.

  • Patent number: 9803741
Abstract: A lubricating structure for a differential device includes a pair of baffle plates, fixed to a transmission case, partitioning an internal space between the transmission case, and a differential case and a final driven gear and a second space. The inner surface of the baffle plates has a portion on the first space side that is enlarged to be similar in shape to outer surfaces of rotating bodies defined by trajectories of the differential case and the final driven gear rotated around a rotational axis of inboard shafts. The baffle plates are configured such that the amount of lubricating oil accumulating in the first space is smaller than that in the second space. A through-hole is provided at a position to secure a level of lubricating oil.

  • Patent number: 7429227
Abstract: In a vehicular driving force distribution system, a left or right torque distribution clutch is selectively engaged to lock a carrier member or a sun gear of a planetary gear mechanism, whereby torque can be distributed between left and right wheels. Also, if a differential limitation clutch is engaged to control relative rotation of the sun gear and the carrier member of the planetary gear mechanism, the planetary gear mechanism enters a locked state, so that the left and right wheels are integrated to perform differential limitation. By the arrangement of merely providing the differential limitation clutch, the differential limitation can be performed by simple control and moreover the control response is improved, as compared with the case where differential limitation is performed by controlling engagement forces of the left and right torque distribution clutches.

  • Patent number: 6700287
Abstract: Core sheets are progressively displaced one after the other by a predetermined displacement angle in a circumferential direction of a core in such a manner that stays of the core sheets form a plurality of stairstep-shaped guide walls. Each core sheet includes projections, recesses and a through hole, which are all arranged along a concentric circle that is concentric to a rotational axis of a rotatable shaft of a motor. The projections are arranged in a first axial end surface of the core sheet, and the recesses and the through hole are arranged in a second axial end surface of the core sheet in such a manner that each projection of the core sheet is opposed to a corresponding one of the recesses of the core sheet in the axial direction of the core.
