  • Publication number: 20240276747
Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) and an organic light emitting device comprising the OLED (e.g., a display device or a lighting device) are described. The OLED can include a first blue emitting material layer including a first host, and a second blue emitting material layer including a second host, disposed between two electrodes. The OLED includes two blue emitting material layers so that an exciton recombination zone is distributed within the blue emitting material layers irrespective of current density or gradation. As the amount of non-emitting excitons accumulated outside of the emitting material layers is minimized, the driving voltage of the OLED can be lowered, and the luminous efficiency and the luminous lifespan of the OLED can be improved.

  • Patent number: 12060668
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure is to provide a washing machine that detects contamination of water due to a dye and prevents contamination of laundry due to the dye. The washing machine includes a tub; a drum configured to be rotatable inside of the tub; a detergent supplier configured to supply a detergent to the tub; a water supplier configured to supply a water to the tub; an optical sensor provided under the tub, wherein the optical sensor includes a light emitting element and a light receiving element configured to selectively receive a plurality of visible rays having different wavelengths and an infrared ray among a light emitted from the light emitting element; and a controller configured to control the water supplier to supply the detergent and the water to the tub and rotate the drum during a washing. In addition, the controller may reduce the washing time based on the sum of the received intensities of the plurality of visible rays and the received intensity of the infrared ray.

  • Publication number: 20240260293
Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) and an organic light emitting device comprising the OLED (e.g., a display device or a lighting device) are described. The OLED can include a blue emitting material layer including plural hosts with adjusted energy levels. A HOMO energy barrier between the at least one blue emitting material layer and at least one hole transport layer and/or electron blocking layer can be minimized. Holes generated at an anode or a P-type charge generation layer can be injected rapidly into the at least one blue emitting material layer without accumulating at an interface between the hole transport layer and/or the electron blocking layer, and the at least one blue emitting material layer. As the amount of non-emitting holes is minimized, the driving voltage of the OLED can be lowered, and the luminous efficiency and the luminous lifespan of the OLED can be improved.

  • Patent number: 12043570
Abstract: Proposed are a flexible cover window for simultaneously improving strength characteristics and folding characteristics of a glass-based ultra-thin flexible cover window, and a method of manufacturing the same. A glass-based flexible cover window is configured such that a ratio of the intensity of replacing metal ions at the glass center to the intensity of replacing metal ions at the glass surface is 1:3 or greater. The present disclosure can provide a flexible cover window with improved window strength characteristics and folding characteristics by adjusting the depth (ion penetration depth) and the surface compressive stress of a tempered layer by performing a gradient tempering process including primary tempering, slimming, and secondary tempering.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an organic light emitting diode (OLED) where adjacent emitting material layers includes hosts with different LUMO energy level and/or electron mobility. A first emitting material layer including a first host with relatively slow electron mobility and/or relatively high LUMO energy level is disposed adjacently to a hole transport layer and a second emitting material layer including a second host with relatively fast electron mobility and/or relatively low LUMO energy level is disposed adjacent to an electron transport layer. No exciplex between hole transporting material and the first host is not formed while exciplex between the hole transporting material and the second host is formed so that exciton loss can be minimized. An OLED and an organic light emitting device with low driving voltage and low power consumption and beneficial luminous property and luminous lifetime can be realized.
