  • Publication number: 20150060820
Abstract: Light emitted within an organic EL device is effectively utilized, and a pixel is provided for improving the extraction efficiency of the light. Light extraction is efficiency is improved without increasing a current by effectively utilizing guided wave light which is a cause of the loss of light emitted by an organic EL device. In order to achieve this, a stepped portion is arrange in an insulating layer provided over a lower layer of a first electrode including a light reflecting surface, and a peripheral area of the first electrode is formed so as to contact the stepped portion. The reflecting surface is formed curved towards a second electrode side in the peripheral area of the first electrode from the stepped portion, light guided through the organic EL layer is reflected by the reflecting surface and emitted from the second electrode side.

  • Publication number: 20150027886
Abstract: Provided is a technique capable of suppressing reduction of a mediator in a stored state. A reagent layer (an enzyme layer 106b, a mediator layer 106c) stacked separately on a hydrophilic layer 106a containing a hydrophilic polymer having a double bond of oxygen atoms contains an enzyme, a mediator, and a hydrophilic polymer having no double bond of oxygen atoms. Accordingly, since the mediator is surrounded by the hydrophilic polymer having no double bond of oxygen atoms, the mediator contained in mediator layer 106c can be prevented from coming into contact with CMC as the hydrophilic polymer in hydrophilic layer 106a, and reduction of the mediator by the hydrophilic polymer having a double bond of oxygen atoms in hydrophilic layer 106a can be suppressed, in the stored state.

  • Publication number: 20140373347
Abstract: Provided is a technique capable of easily manufacturing a biosensor in which each of an enzyme layer and a mediator layer contains a hydrophilic polymer having no double bond of oxygen atoms and thereby which can be stored for a long period. Since an enzyme layer and a mediator layer are formed together as a reaction layer, there is no need to individually form enzyme layer and mediator layer on a cover layer and an electrode layer, respectively, as in a conventional biosensor, and reaction layer can be easily formed. Since each of enzyme layer and mediator layer contains the hydrophilic polymer having no double bond of oxygen atoms, a reaction between an enzyme and a mediator can be suppressed, and reduction of the mediator in mediator layer can be suppressed, in a stored state. Therefore, a biosensor which can be stored for a long period can be easily manufactured.

  • Publication number: 20140246335
Abstract: A technique and a sensor chip allowing determination of a hematocrit value of a blood sample in a short period of time with low cost are provided. A response current obtained by sweep of a voltage applied across a working electrode for determination and a counter electrode for determination included in a sensor chip is measured and a hematocrit value is derived based on followability of the response current to temporal change in swept applied voltage. Therefore, it is not necessary to stand by until oxidation reduction reaction of an oxidation reducing substance is stabilized for determining a hematocrit value as in a conventional method of determining a hematocrit value, and thus a hematocrit value of a blood sample can be determined in a short period of time. Since no oxidation reducing substance is necessary for determining a hematocrit value, a hematocrit value can be determined with low cost.

  • Publication number: 20140246336
Abstract: A technique allowing improved determination accuracy in quantifying a substance to be determined by lessening influence by a current component different from an oxidation current is provided. The oxidation current results from oxidation of a reducing substance generated through reaction between an enzyme and the substance to be determined. Current components are contained in a response current resulting from application of a determination potential, referenced to a counter electrode, to a working electrode. Since a conditioning potential higher than a determination potential is applied as a pulse to the working electrode, influence by a current component different from an oxidation current can be lessened. Thus, the response current can be measured in a stable manner and determination accuracy in quantification of a substance to be determined which is contained in a specimen can be improved.
